Can we talk about brows?

My brows are quite sparse and naturally fair.

I tint them myself at home but they’re not great to be honest.

Does anyone have micro blading or brow lamination, or just tinting at the salon?

I’d love to get microblading, but I’m
worried about it looking over the top or fading unevenly.

Doee anyone gave any of these treatments with good results? Or had bad experiences?

I have fair eyebrows and thin from over plucking, I tried micro blading but only let them do a light brown natural look, maybe I went too natural as I was scared but the effect wore off very quickly after a month it didn’t look any different, not something I’d try again as it’s expensive not to get good results on the other hand I’m glad I’m not stuck with brows I hate. Not sure if salon tinting lasts any longer than home tinting I’d like to know that. If I remember I just use a home brow tinting kit which I’m happy with.

I had my sparse brows microbladed 2 years ago. To be honest the result was awful. The technician did them much higher than my natural brows. Now I have to keep plucking the fews hairs I do have, as they are now too low. Two years later I have a mixture of random dark strokes and 'faded to red' strokes.

I had micropigmentation in 2017 and it’s faded of course but still looks good. I have photos if it helps

As a teenager in the 70’s I plucked my brows to within an inch (2.5cm to younger lot!) of their life…totally regret it now. The few hairs I have left are going grey.
At present I’m using really cheap ELF brow pencil thing…looks good but wears off after a few hours. At £3 it’s a snip!

I had microblading 6 months ago - I had 90’s overplucked brows. I couldn’t be more pleased - they were a little dark at first but soon faded and unless you look closely you can’t tell the difference between the brush strokes and the actual hairs. Makes my face more balanced somehow.

I'm using the Elf brow mascara thing and it's fabulous.

I liked the initial results of micro blading but it didn’t last long and the dark brown has faded very red so after doing it twice I haven’t bothered again. I use a salon quality tint at home every 2 weeks and that does the trick

I have mine filled with semi permanent make up (basically tattooed) once a year. Not bothered about micro blading, I am happy with the solid colour look as it's a fairly light brown and looks much better than my natural brows. The practitioner I go to is amazing at measuring angles and lines of the face and putting them in the right place!

I was going to suggest Elf - I have very thick brows though but use it to fill lines in. They also do a brow brush and a brow gel that sticks it all down - all of those together plus tinting is quite effective.

I use a sharpie. I’ve done it for years and nobody has ever guessed. Just gently tint the eyebrows, only do it weekly
