I have a wedding in July and have bought this dress, will wear with gold sandals, not sure about what bag. Also not sure about a fascinator as I believe they are not classed as stylish now???
Ideas please for maybe a headband or something. Long brown bob, I’m in my early 50s, any words of wisdom welcome!

I don’t think you need anything on your head, I’ve not seen anyone in headwear for years now apart from the occasion hat on the mother of the groom/bride.

Do you have your ears pierced? I would go for statement earrings instead.

The dress is wonderful. I agree you don't really need to add anything to look outstanding.

Is this the colour of your hair?

Zara bag

If not they have lots of others. For high summer I’d certainly look for something straw like - but that ties in with your hair as well as your outfit. You’ll look beautifully finished - and really won’t need a headpiece. (Spend the money on hair glossing.)

Fascinators are really old fashioned and aging in my opinion

You don’t need headwear these days I don’t think. Aging, and/or make you look like you are going to the races not a wedding, lol. I’d go for statement earrings, and awesome lippie.

Unless it’s super posh (think stately home in which case the dress wouldn’t work) headwear isn’t required. Often mothers of the bride and groom wear hats still but even that isn’t as common, we only had two women in hats at my wedding, both over 75 and because they had them already and wanted to wear them again!

I'm 37 and I refuse to give them up! 🤣

I also still order a fresh flower wrist corsage for every wedding I attend. I know no one really does that any more but I don't care.

Earring ideas welcome!

You could get a nice hair clip for the back or a decorative comb if you were pinning up 1 side.
No necessarily silver like the links, I'd go with gold, but you get the idea.

As a side note, do you have a strapless bra for that dress? I love the dress colour, but I have massive boobs and personally couldn't wear anything with no shoulder straps.

Boobs not a problem 😁

I am the mother of the bride at the one I’m going to, am not a very dressy person but am looking at headbands with beads to dress my outfit up a bit
