Saggy mouth and jaw help needed (pic attached)

I’m 52 and this is the area that ages me the most. I have had filler in my cheeks in the past and don’t want any more there. I do use one of those electro current machines (Foreo Bear) but didn’t this morning.

What can I do? My skin is actually quite good elsewhere on my face. I have a spot of pigmentation in the photo but it’s the only one I have. I use sunscreen/retinol (can’t use tretinoin as I have rosacea). My main issue is the sagging.

It’s definitely not worse than mine! Have you had filler at all? Some cheek filler really helped me at your age.

Yes I had some cheek filler a few years ago, researched the place, dentist so someone who is v knowledgeable about the face area, and it made a little improvement for about 4 days then went back to how it was. So a very costly mistake!

YourCheeryMentor · 28/05/2025 06:20

You have a really nice jawline, and I don’t see much sagging. In fact, your skin looks great for 52! Still, if you’re interested, you could consult your dermatologist for personalized advice. I’d highly recommend seeking professional guidance before pursuing any treatments. There are many options available both non-invasive (without injections or surgery) and more intensive procedures so your dermatologist can help you choose the best approach.

I get Botox along my jawline and it helps massively.

Ohdeariemenotgood · 28/05/2025 07:14

Thanks @YourCheeryMentor i don’t really have a dermatologist. Are you in the UK? It’s not really a thing here. People just use treatment clinics. Thanks for the lovely compliment though! 🥰

That’s interesting. If had it in my 11s but not heard of it in the lower face…

Have you thought about Jawtite? It’s not cheap but it does have some quite good results. Look at Twinperspectives on insta. One of them has had it and you can see her results.

Apart from this, fillers, Botox, LeD masks won’t really do that much. A lower face list can be done and achieve fantastic results and they don’t have to be as scary as they sound. Check out DameDiom’s thread on here. She used Nick Thodes in York. I’m still following him as I’m starting to get a bit jowly myself!

FloppySarnie · 28/05/2025 07:25

Actually she seems to have deleted it on her account so take a look at it on the Doctor’s insta (Dr Saleena Zimri)

A lower facelift will make the biggest difference for this. Non invasive treatments are a scam imo.

SwanOfThoseThings · 28/05/2025 07:34

Your skin looks really good in the picture.

We (society) shouldn't lose sight of the fact it's normal for faces to age, which includes the skin being less tight around the jaw. I'm a similar age to you and have the same thing. It's wrong, in my opinion, that women of our age should feel they have to have the face of a 30 year old. Looking after your skin is one thing; feeling you have to spend a fortune on treatments is another.

january1244 · 28/05/2025 08:31

Has anyone tried PDO threads? I haven’t had any aesthetics yet, but it’s one I would consider. Some people seem to have had amazing results

Ohdeariemenotgood · 28/05/2025 08:43

@SwanOfThoseThings I know, I totally agree! But here we are. 🤷‍♀️ 😂

I just don’t think I’m ready for that. Very squeamish

I don"t think you have any sagging. But then I always think that on these type of posts.

I don't either and you have a beautifully shaped mouth.

Ohdeariemenotgood · 28/05/2025 08:58

@LoafofSellotape thanks! My lips look so dry, I really need to get better at lip balm. I never wear lipstick.

I saw a thread a while back of someone who had Endo lift for this. If you scroll down the thread she does post better photos than the first ones that show the difference.

I’ve just seen someone post about profhilo, I’m currently googling like mad about that as I’ve seen that can reduce jowls and sagging.

I’m a similar age, I’m desperate to hold back the inevitable as long as possible, although totally skint so not sure how I’ll do it!

Vroooooom · 28/05/2025 09:32

I also saw this non surgical facelift the other day & saved for future googling.

They are doing on a young woman. We need to see the results over 50!

Vroooooom · 28/05/2025 15:03

I know, I thought it slightly ridiculous!
I just haven got around to googling before & after on an older person yet.

My Botox doctor does this procedure, apparently it will lift the downward lines at the corners of mouth and lift the chin a little, seriously considering it but I’m concerned I will look like I’ve had a stroke if it goes wrong, I’ve seen some bad results online which is putting me off a bit, don’t think anything will help with my neck though, in all seriousness I’m looking at a lower face and neck lift as at 58 there is some only so much Botox and fillers can do.

SuperFi · 31/05/2025 14:40

Reporting back OP following my consultation. He said that the Nefferti lift would only be a 10-15% improvement. He recommended the I should increase the amount of cheek filler ( I only had 1 ml previously), before I add any to the lower face. Although I can’t see how more cheek filler will make a difference to the pre jowl area.

@FloppySarnie wow that jawtite looks good, but it’s 4k! I think if I’m paying that money I might as well get a lower facelift.

SoScarletItWas · 31/05/2025 14:48

I had a HiFU facial and it definitely helped my not-jowls-yet-but-deep-wrinkles.

I posted about it here on another thread like this one and some posters warned that HiFU can cause fat loss, but I never had that issue.

SuperFi · 31/05/2025 15:03

@SoScarletItWas how long did the effects of the Hifi facial last for?

SuperFi · 31/05/2025 15:03

@SoScarletItWas how long did the effects of the Hifi facial last for?

Had it end of March. It takes up to 12 weeks to see the full benefits (it stimulates your natural collagen). You can’t have it done again for six months, I think she said.

I think it looked better after a couple of weeks and now one marionette line has vanished one side completely! They weren’t massively deep to start with so I do believe I’ve stopped them in their tracks a bit!

troppibambini6 · 31/05/2025 15:17

I’ve had some filler. I went to an amazing woman who basically looks at your face and asks what you would like to achieve. For me it I wanted my jaw line back, my naso labial lines and little in my marionettes. She also advised some cheek filler to act as scaffolding.
She did not exactly as I asked it looks totally natural anyone I tell is always very surprised. I’ve had loads of people commenting on how well I look but I’ve lost weight too so I put it down to that if I don’t want them to know!
