What is happening to nails and how to fix?

Took my nail polish off a week ago and noticed that on the ring finger the nail was detaching at the end. Assumed I must have caught it. Got gel put on and then when I removed it yesterday (gently, myself) it's starting on most of the other nails.

The sensitive nail bed is now exposed on several and is a bit sore.

I normally have bare nails or polish with quick dry top coat, this was the first gel on my fingers for about 2 years (and have most of the time on my toes no issue).

Will attach photos but might take a bit of time to be approved.

This might help, but if not, she has other helpful videos that address pretty much all nail issues.

My nails began splitting and flaking after 2 years of having gels and having always been strong. Stopped doing anything to them for 2 years but it only resolved itself when I discovered my iron and ferratin were low.

I developed an allergy to gel and that's what mine started doing, the cheaper the gel, the more likely to develop an allergy to the ingredients.
It could also be a fungal infection (I did a lot of research).
Eventually my skin would blister within hours of application (I did them myself for a couple of years) and that confirmed my suspicions of an allergy, for me.

I can no longer wear gel, although some technicians do carry hypoallergenic gels. I'm sure they cost more though.
