Help me find sandals for my huge feet

I have just returned men's ugg sandals as they didn't look right and even they were too tight around my ankle.

I am a size 9 in trainers; sandals could be 8 or 9 depending. I also have massive ankles and 'high' feed iykwim. I'm looking for comfortable walking sandals with a soft sole (like the ugg ones or trainers) that bloody fit. I get achey feet easily, so the soft but substantial sole is quite important. Nothing like flip flops. They need to have a proper footbed.

What can people recommend?

I have looked at the women's uggs but I am not hopeful if even a men's size 9 couldn't fit around my ankle. I'm really hoping I can find some.

I honestly can't recommend these enough

I'm an 8/42 and have issues with my feet too. They are so comfortable and supportive and definitely don't make your feet look bigger. I have them in green which actually goes with most!

I find Birkenstocks too hard.
Josef Siebel have size 9s, not the most glamorous but very comfortable for my wide, high instepped feet.

Vionic

These arrived today via Amazon. They just about fit around the ankle, but they are very comfortable and will probably stretch out a bit and I think I will keep them. They look decent enough for work too. With my feet I have given up on smart comfortable sandals.

Lots of other suggestions I would have tried had I not ordered those, but will keep in mind for next year.

I lived on Birkenstocks for years but I always need to break them in and I find them too hard now. Not suitable for long walks at all.

I had ordered men's uggs and they didn't close. These have way too many straps and won't fit. It's the arch and the width. My feet are huge. Not just in length.

I find M and S foot wear generous in sizes

I think we are probably feet twins. Keen fit me as if they were made for me, Merrell wide fit also work. I have 2 pairs of Gabor, but they are a bit too ladylike for me. I have some Vionic wide fit trainers which I bought in a 43, because I could( so exciting), but I should have bought a 42 wide. With feet like ours, I have sometimes found that I don’t always recognise too big as a possibility, until it’s too late. Good luck

Next do loads up to a size 9.5. They also do different width sizes.

i have 6 toes on right foot and i buy from Deichmann and just wear socks.

So I had to return the vionic sandals as the arch was too high for one foot but not the other. Turns out my feet are not the same.

To whoever suggested Teva THANK YOU. I have a very comfortable pair now that just fits and looks ok to wear at work. I look forward to summer walks.
