I have a fat belly and have massive boobs, and I'm short and over weight

You need much more efficient underwear. Start here

You could also look at Skims.

Maybe not ideal for everyday in very hot weather, but good shape wear will make a huge difference on days you want to look smarter.

Obviously weight loss and targeted exercise would make a longer term difference.

My heart goes out to you. You are a human being and you have nothing to hide. in fact, I want to celebrate you! Your stomach has carried a child or children.

but equally, I get it. I feel like you do about my massive tum. Yes, when I look at you, I see a strong body that has carried children and I couldn’t care less if it’s not toned and fat free. But if you want to hide it, like I do, I suggest a smock dress. You look like you have good legs so a smock may work well for you. I also wear big pants that smooth things a bit. But maybe I shouldn’t. I think we all judge ourselves so so much more harshly than others might judge us!

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that was a photo of me! 🤣

I wear high wasted underwear and trousers and I find that tucking my top in a little at the front helps make things look more in proportion.

When I'm dressing I go by the motto... baggy on the bottom, tight on the top... tight on the bottom, baggy on the top. It seems to do the trick for me most of the time.

For the tummy, embrace wearing dresses and go for a control slip. More comfy and more practical than any control knickers.

For the boobs, 36F here, simply be proud. It’s about confidence.

Get properly fitted for a bra. It makes such a huge difference.

madaboutpurple · 16/05/2025 09:08

I got fitted for a bra at Bravissimo and it was life changing .Far better than anywhere else I have been.

Pootles34 · 16/05/2025 09:10

Dresses as others have said. Also I don't try to hide the boobs - they are the distraction from the belly!

Growsomeballswoman · 16/05/2025 09:17

Start on the pants.nice big supportive ones. Then go from there.

You could be me!!! Personally I can’t wear high waisted trousers as they really emphasise my belly but I think that’s because I have a very arched back so it sticks out more and.i look like a round ball. I look best in dresses or trousers that are mid rise with a loose but not baggy t shirt. But not got answers so watching this thread!

  1. Get a really good bra that lifts them up. Measure yourself here: https://www.booborbust.com/ I like this bra: https://www.marksandspencer.com/mesh-wired-extra-support-bra-f-j-/p/clp60678099?color=BLUE#intid=pidpg1pip30g4r1c2
  2. These knickers are good, they are halfway between spanx shapewear and no support cotton knickers: https://www.marksandspencer.com/2-pack-firm-control-full-briefs/p/clp22455361?color=BLACK#intid=pidpg1pip48g4r3c2
  3. Dress in flattering things: V necks or boat necks. Darker colours on top and lighter bottoms. A line dresses at a length good for your legs are really flattering. Avoid dresses with belts or ties, but a waisted definition just under your bust are good. Classic combo of wide trousers, fitted vest and then a shirt buttoned in the middle or left open is flattering I think. Peplum tops are flattering, with wide leg trousers and a wedge or some heel just avoid puffy poofy sleeves as they add more bulk to a larger chest and give a wider look to the body. Go sleeveless peplum or with sleeves that aren't OTT puffy.
  4. Draw attention to your face and neckline: necklaces, earrings, hat or hair accessories

Empire waistline tops and dresses, A line dresses, V necks or Square or boat necklines, avoid crew necks.
