Heya, I had my first baby 7 months ago and I'm really struggling with my sense of self and figuring out my new body.

I've never really had much luck with fashion really, I've always seen something on the hanger or a mannequin, loved it, then tried it on and hated it.

My style preference it seems, does not typically suit my body.

As of right now I'm really quite similar to this lady; https://www.facebook.com/toriiblock/reels/
But I can't quite figure out what it is specifically that she's choosing fashion wise that looks so good on her body type that I can try and mimic when choosing things for myself!

Pre-pregnancy I've always had a small waist and larger hips and bum with a little tummy, but now PP I'm the same plus a mum-tum/ PP pooch - I've tried searching online, but all that comes up recommended is loose fitting and baggy clothes, which is.. fine.. but makes me feel frumpy, look bigger than I am, and hides my waist which is my only good asset I have left ahaha!

What type/fit of clothes should I be looking at to find myself and get some confidence again?

It’s so hard trying to adjust your style to suit your new post-partum body shape! Looking at the Facebook account you’ve linked, she is wearing a lot of items that cinch in just under the bust and then skim over the hips and stomach, so I would try on some dresses, jumpsuits etc that follow that general shape.

I'll have to give that type of thing more of a chance, whenever I've seen clothes with a waist line nearer the bust I've avoided it like the plague as I'm so short (4ft 11 😱) so they usually make me look like a little girl, but thinking about it now, that was when I was 3 stone lighter!

I think perhaps I've been writing off that type of waist line when I really ought to be embracing it now I have more of a mum bod' 😅😅

God how I will miss skater dresses though 😭

Can you get to a John Lewis? If so try a personal styling appointment.
