I’ve been decorating sanding blocks Got a pack of 4 from middle of Lidl for a couple of quid. They’re great cos really flexible and get between the pads on the sole of my foot Something like this

Revlon pedi expert - brilliant, also no longer see a chiropodist.

Wobblemonster · 12/05/2025 22:16

Another vote for Margaret Dabbs

A 99p foot file from Lidl - as good as anything I've bought before so I've bought another one as they're in the middle aisle at the moment

Me too. Scholl's cracked heel repair is amazing. No mess (it's like a Pritt Stick consistency), no filing required once you get on top of things.

I just bought this today after seeing you recommend it and it is so much nicer to apply than Flexitol which I find gets hard to squeeze the last out of the tube. The smell is a lot nicer too. If it works as well as Flexitol I'll be delighted!

This one is excellent

Bezox

Several happy family and friends use it

Ifyounevergiveup · 13/05/2025 19:14

Body Shop one with wooden handle. You use it on dry feet and it’s the best I’ve ever had.

Still mourning the demise of Chemistry foot cream. Never managed to find one as good. When Body Shop went into administration my only thought was for my foot files 😆

Shouldbedoing · 13/05/2025 19:14

The Bezox looks identical to Daffybearblues one
Edit; but on closer inspection is pumice. The Bezox is metal

Marilla1966 · 13/05/2025 19:27

Yet another vote for Margaret Dabbs. X

beetr00 · 13/05/2025 19:33

can highly recommend this @sciaticafanatica

gingerninja · 13/05/2025 20:50

Black and decker mouse sander and 120 grit fine paper for my hooves. Kid you not, much quicker and more effective than any other file or gadget I’ve ever tried. Does tickle a bit tho 🤪

nottinghall · 13/05/2025 22:12

profoot 360 is good, its a spongy round one, not scared of taking too much off

Bluebellwood129 · 13/05/2025 22:48

Margaret Dabbs on a dry foot.

dudsville · 13/05/2025 22:53

After a decade of dry hooves, my "foot file" is now collagen tablets. Ask that's needed now is a good moisturiser and socks!

Shuttheblinds · 14/05/2025 00:29

Margaret Dabbs, I tried them all and this is the one that works for me. It’s fantastic. I use the hygeine cream too and that sorts my feet out within 2 uses it’s so good.
You need to use the file on dry feet for it to work.

Ooh, please can you let us know which collagen tablets you're using?

Mine are the ones from Holland and Barrett, both the bovine and the marine. I've only been taking them for about 3 weeks, but I'm so impressed by the effect on me.

There's a collagen thread in S&B where people talk abut several brands that are more popular though, and some folks haven't had any improvement from the collagen they've tried.

For me, in terms of skin, the first thing I noticed was my elbows, and then my feet. My elbows are now just smooth and comfortable without needing moisturiser. My feet are doing really well with just moisturiser and socks, and they just don't feel generally dry and tight anymore.

Microplane one on dry feet

FVION Nano Glass Foot File for... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CNPXLJKJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I bought this after you recommended it and it is amazing! My cracked heels have gone, I actually have round, soft heels for the first time in years. Can’t believe how much better they are after just one use. Thank you for recommending it!

I also bought it and agree it's brilliant. A few evenings of filing with that then applying the scholl cracked heel stick also recommended on here and my feet are so much better. I love Mumsnet!

sciaticafanatica · 17/05/2025 19:15

Thanks everyone… I bought the nano glass foot file & margrett dabs cream and I love both.
