Hello
Just looking for some beauty advice.... or any advice! I've recently turned 35 and have become totally and unhealthily obsessed with my under eye bags/ puffiness! No matter how much sleep I get I always look exhausted! Having 2 children under 3 doesn't help but no matter how many hours sleep I get I look the same! I've tried every eyecream under the sun with no improvement.
I'm seriously considering lower blepharoplasty to sort it out once and for all and give me some time off researching and stressing over it! However, I have no idea as to whether this would even sort my issue, no idea if I've not puffiness due to fat deposits, fluid retention or maybe it's hollowness?! I've been to see a few aesthetic clinics now and no-one gives me a definitive answer so am none the wiser! But even more exhausted from all the research and beauty appointments!
The strange thing is:
I've had my second polynucleotide injection under the eyes today (this was recommended to me by someone that I saw for a consultation). I was told this would help boost collagen and results would take a few months to see. However, as with the 1st injection, immediately after the injection the results are amazing, all the puffiness is gone and the area is smooth - I look great and young again (minus the pin pricks of blood and slight bruising!) However, in a couple of days I will be back to normal again, looking just as tired and puffy as always.
Wondering what the mechanism for this short lived improvement is? And what this means for my overall solution? Could it be that the temporary swelling and polynucleotide liquid from the injection is smoothing things out. And if so, surely I don't want fat removed, i.e. lower blepharoplasty and I actually want to fill out the area permanently i.e. filler?
Am one step away from booking a consultation with a plastic surgeon but it costs £200 just for a consultation so would be nice to know if I'm not a candidate before I blow even more money away on this! My husband would have a heart attack if he knew how much money I'd already wasted on it hahaha!
As you can hear I am very confused and any advice would be so welcome! I know there are more important things to worry about but I just feel like an ugly ogre. Thought I'd get a bit older than 35 before I had to worry so much about my face
I attach some before and after polynucleotide images incase it helps
Thanks so much
