Plantar fasciitis and footwear

Can anyone recommend good footwear for plantar fasciitis that looks fairly trendy?

I often wear an arch support insole in trainers but it's hard to find ones that take them without looking like I'm wearing a pair of boats!

I would also love a pair of sandals but so far I've no found anything that isn't completely flat.

My adult DD with PF gets her shoes and trainers from Simply Feet. She does have to sort through elderly looking stuff but there are sme good finds and she finds the shoes comfy.

I had PF for about a year. I found I could wear Sketcher slip ons and slides, adidas trainers and oddly enough Haviannas! Also some comfort sole sandals from Next.
In winter I wore half (heel) insoles
inside boots and also comfort sole boots from next. It’s really a case or trail and error.

Buy orthosoles by Ronnie Irani they really help with all aches and pains

Yes! I had an MRI and had a massive tear in my plantar fascia, grim!

I find as long as I do the stretches and wear a good arch support insole I can keep it under control. I just miss pretty shoes and having my toes out!

There's lots of lovely ideas for me to look at here. Many thanks all!

I had PF a few years ago and it comes back whenever I am careless about what I wear on my feet. So I have been wearing trainers ever since, any time I have to walk further than the distance between the car park and the office. Any recommendations of smart, versatile shoes that are simultaneously suitable for the workplace and for walking a few miles in?

Another vote for Birkenstocks, also toe separators can help with alignment of bones & tissues in feet.

FitFlops worked for me. I also never wear footwear without a thick sole anymore and I never go barefoot at home. If I stick to the above 90% of the time.. no PF!

I can use Birkenstock and fitflops ok. However for more sturdy shoes I use Allegria Paloma I buy them from Cheerful Sole or legend footwear. I also use their sandals. They have kept me pain-free for years. However wheb we got a pub he ate most of them (mummy's dog) and I made thr mistake to go back to "normal" foot wear as I had not had a flaree up for years.

This was a mistake. I am now back in Allegrias.

I also wawr a pair of Oofas they are lovely but I agree with the other poster that said they are not pretty.

Haflinger do nice sandals. I found FitFlop made mine worse.

Oofos were an absolute gamechanger for my plantar fascitis. Just amazing.

Unfortunately they are quite expensive and look crap (imo), so not the stylish fix you are looking for. But I HIGHLY recommend getting a pair to wear around the house.

Agreed, the black sliders do go with everything and they are so comfy xxx

Fitflops and losing 4 stone worked for me
