Oh gawd it’s finally come to this.

Any recommendations please
Welcome to thoughts on supplements, body lotions etc.

I use a good shower gel and apply loads of, admittedly cheap, body lotion, but obviously need to yp
my game.

TIA

I’ve found unrefined Shea butter a game changer for my crepey skin. I brought a huge tub for about £9. Also regular exfoliating with a body mitt is helping. Before this the Dove pro age lotion was pretty good and always seems to be on offer.

Thank you.

Yes. I agree about exfoliating and I do this but maybe I should focus on it more.

What about collagen?
Does that help?

A couple of weeks ago, I started to use a long handled bristle brush foamed up with soap in the shower. Then cocoa butter body lotion (Palmers). Its made a difference to my scaly legs. My bingo wings and soft skin on the inside of my forearms still goes baggy and crepey when I raise my arms though. Sad

Yep, was wondering about this earlier as my upper/inner arm collagen appears to have gone AWOL suddenly and is wrinkled at certain angles. Send help or magic cream.

I find sleeves very effective!

Have you had your thyroid checked? DP has hypothyroidism and it's led to crepey skin.
No such excuse for me though 😩

Yes, this. I usually choose elbow length these days.

Thanks but I don’t have any other symptoms

Covering up is an option but it would also be good to do what I can with creams and supplements

It's probably the same as skin care. A bit of nivea probably works as well as Estee Lauder, we just think the Estee's better.

Like you, I've a couple of crepey bits appearing, especially at the upper/inner arms. It's probably too late now as I'm 64 and have barely glanced at body lotion.

I've been taking supplements for my skin, hair and nails - my nails are still rubbish and little change to skin and hair and I've been doing it for a year now.

The crepey bits appeared after I lost 2.5 stone. Win some, lose some. I think we just have to embrace it.

@Fgfgfg I've been hypothyroid since I had 7/8 of my thyroid removed in 1990 due to Graves. I'm not persuaded crepeyness is a symptom/side effect. I get the BTF newsletter and have done so for more than 30 years and have never seen it mentioned.
