Fine, brittle hair. Finally!

I know I'm going to sound like an advert, but... At age 53 I have actually found a product that makes my crap, super-fine, thin, poker-straight hair much, much nicer. I'd actually given up after trying gazillions of shampoos, mousses, sprays over the decades and nothing worked. This one genuinely makes my hair not only look thicker, but also a nicer texture, a bit shiny and seemingly stronger too (less breakage). Anyway... it's Small Talk thickening cream by Bed Head if anyone is interested.

You need the heat from a dryer - otherwise it would just leave the hair looking sticky and matted.
I also bought it off the back of this thread and whilst it hadn’t transformed my hair (that would be asking a bit much given the current state of it) it definitely looks a bit thicker and easier to style.

I use it then airdry my hair - it still makes it look thicker and the effect lasts.

Well I stand corrected.
Might try it that way - heat isn’t doing my hair any favours.

I use one pump only (chin length bob), rub it into my hands, bend forwards and then really work it in all over. Then a little spray mousse at the roots and a bit of salt spray all over. But it's the Small Talk that gives the oomph and a bit of all day control. I even have a travel size bottle for when I go away Smile

Yes! Love this. Amazon often have deals on it. I have even decanted some to take on holiday.

My hair is shoulder length. One pump, rub between hands then rub into roots.blow dry upside down, the I use a hot air brush for lifting and shaping then a tiny bit of thickening powder.

Thank you for the ‘ heads up’ OP 😉

I am trying not to buy anything as have a drawer full of hair products, my last purchase was £50 Dyson Serum 😮

However, I am going to have to relent and get this after reading these comments 😀

After visiting 70 year old DM last week she commented on my hair so I told her about this stuff.
She also bought some and video called me on Saturday to show me how she looks. She’s really happy with how it improves her hair too.

I have never regularly blow dried my hair before, as it never looked nice anyway so wasn’t worth the faff, it’s annoying to have to do but so, so worth it.

Bought it, applied it, loved it. Thanks 🙏

Also tried this on the back of this thread and am very impressed. It seems to make my hair look more vibrant as well as give it body. Wondering what other Tigi products I've been missing now.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 15/05/2025 20:47

Also bought this after seeing this thread and another happy customer - thanks OP!

Succumbed. Bought. Thank you OP!

It makes such a difference. I have hair that I actually like!

middleagedandinarage · 16/05/2025 15:47

Oooo I've just ordered this after reading this thread. Can't wait to try it

middleagedandinarage · 16/05/2025 15:48

On a separate note, do you all use a heat defence spray? If so which?
