Over 60 and need to update my make up

My skin is pretty good, a few lines and red areas but generally ok. I’ve used Estee Lauder DW probably for over 20 years and I’m now finding it looks a bit flat. I’m not particularly close to a John Lewis but am going to a city with one in a few weeks time and thought I would use the time to have a look at make up with a view to a change. I looked at a Bobbi Brown make up lesson but they are only on a Saturday in this particular store.
I currently use EL concealer, a Trinny blusher and mascara and at the moment I’m favouring a lip oil from Clarins instead of
lipstick so I suppose what I’m looking for is an update on the look I’ve had since my 30s.

Can anyone give any recommendations for which brands to take a look at please.

Rather than JL, if I were you I’d book a Selfridges Beauty Concierge session. It’s done in the salon, not on the shop floor, and the make up person will make selections from amongst all the different brands rather than just one. The price is redeemable against anything you buy. Far more comprehensive than randomly picking one brand.

I think it’s available at all or most Selfridges branches.

Thank you, that would be perfect
but sadly I’m in Somerset so not really possible.

You’re already using Trinny London so could you look at the bases there? They offer makeover services etc for a fee redeemable against purchase. I’m not keen on Bobbi Brown (went downhill after Bobbi departed the company).
I really like NARS tinted moisturiser www.narscosmetics.co.uk/en/pure-radiant-tinted-moisturiser-spf-30-pa/999NACTINTED9.htm. It offers good coverage (even though it’s a tinted moisturiser) They do other bases which are good quality with a good shade range I stopped using ELDW in my early 30s.
Clarins have also just brought out a new tinted moisturiser (they have samples available) but the cover is lighter than NARS and the ELDW you’re using currently.

Also meant to add it’s worth watching some Lisa Eldridge tutorials www.lisaeldridge.com/blogs/videos?srsltid=AfmBOopfFjNT8xqPA_aXrJOu_MeMN5afcvWhIHrPB2P3wktodlKNEHSR

Thank you for your responses. Maybe I won’t pursue the Bobbi Brown route then. The Trinny items were a Christmas gift and I think the nearest stockist is about 90 miles away.

I will take a look at the online tutorials.

I am 60 and use the Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint. It's brilliant.

I’m almost 63 and I have recently discovered Trinny London, brilliant.
I use the BFF stuff in the silver tube, basically a tinted moisturiser but it works as a wonderful light foundation. Seriously, you cannot mess it up. A pump or two onto fingers, rub into face and neck and bingo, done. A healthy colour and no hassle. Follow with a bit of Trinny cream blusher (I use Pia), bit of green eyeliner, mascara, bit of lippy: DONE. I look fresh and dare I say it, youthful.

i get everything online from Trinny. You just do the online test thing and they recommend your best shades.
