Nail kits.

I’ve had to have the BIAB removed from my nails (reaction?)
I am considering one of the kits where you dip your nail into powder. A faff?
Or the nail transfer thingies. Hoping someone knows what I mean!
Ive tried doing my own gel nails in the past and found it a PITA and never stayed on all that well. Down to my prep I’m sure!
Anyone have anything they could recommend?

Thanks Georgian. I’m using nail envy at the moment which aims for a similar strengthening effect. I’m missing colour and sparkle though.

Join nail tech awareness on fb tells you all you need to know about nail allergies and reactions. You’re likely to be allergic to what’s in the dip pots too. You will need a test from gp or privately to find out what it was you had a reaction too.

@Pocketfullofsun I’m not convinced it’s an allergy. I suspect they were allowed to get too long. Plus I don’t have proper feeling in my fingers so I’ve probably used my nails to open things etc. Oh and I definitely shoved something down my thumb nail so now have a lovely greenie!

I’ve got a dip kit and haven’t managed to get on with it that well, it’s chipped pretty quickly each time despite me prepping well beforehand. Plus it doesn’t always take evenly and I’ll end up with a gap. Maybe I need to practice more but it’s too annoying.
Wraps are good, I want to try the semi cured but annoyingly got rid of my lamp a few months ago and don’t want to buy a new one. I got the no cure ones from amazon, loads of designs and they do last quite well.
I’m into stick on nails at the minute for occasions, shein has them for around £1 each and I buy glue separately. Boots do good ones too if you want to spend more, just be wary of the sticky tabs as they feel very odd to me and fall off way too easily.

I’m really hard on my nails. I know stick on would ping off!
Im so clueless. Didn’t know about the different types of nail wraps. 🤦‍♀️ I do have a lamp but reading about stretching them or heating them with a hairdryer put me off!!

I am very tempted by Glaize - probably the constant adverts on my social media have got to me!
