Need a coat for rainy hen do

I’ve a hen do locally tomorrow but the forecast is rain all day. I’ve got a dress and some nice sandals but what coat could I wear to avoid getting too soaked. I own leather jackets denim jackets or casual jackets or a fair fur. Nothing suitable at all
Help. What can I wear and wear can I get it today

I wouldn’t buy a coat, just take an umbrella and wear a jacket you already have.
What do you usually do in the rain? Presumably you are going to be inside most of the time, rather than standing outside most of the day. Your feet will be soaked in sandals and you aren’t contemplating wellies so probably no need for a rain coat!

at this time on a bank holiday you're probably best to try the supermarkets or do you have any outdoor shops nearby? Something like this maybe but you'll still get wet if it's raining hard as it's only shower resistant. What do you normally wear in the rain? I’m already rethinking my footwear choice. If I swap to biker boots I’ll have to change my dress choice too because the dress I bought will look silly with boots. The dress code is black so it’s easy enough to wear something else. My usual rain plan would be stay home or jeans boots puffa jacket umbrella stay in the car type of plan. I have access to mountain warehouse, trespass as well as big supermarkets and usual retail park shops within 20 minutes.

I'm not too bothered about fitting in the young girls all 20 years my junior I want to be dry and comfortable

oh definitely check Mountain Warehouse and Trespass as not all their coats are hillwalker style waterproofs! They'll cost a bit more but there seems to always be a sale on and at least you'd be able to get out again next time it rains ;)

Will they be nice enough for a hen do though? I don’t want to look like nana on a night out

Some might be ok but you're not going to find out by sitting here on the internet, won't the shops be closing early today??

This is very true. It’s chucking it down though so I don’t want to go outside.

Im seriously considering wearing my DMs tomorrow if it’s like this. DH has gone out to the footie in full on waterproof clothes and doesn’t give a shit. I might borrow those.
