Best shoes for toddler boy with super narrow feet

Hi I was hoping someone might also have a toddler/young DC with super narrow feet who can give me some advice for where to buy shoes from!

Just had him measured in Clark’s and he’s coming out as a 8.5D!! That is so narrow it doesn’t even exist in their shoes 🙈

What brands are good for narrow feet? The man said to try and find more tapered styles but I don’t like that advice at all as I prefer a more barefoot style as better for their toes. However the majority of barefoot shoes are so wide! My other DS is fine in bgreater shoes but too wide for my older one.

Did you try some E shoes on? Some will be narrower than others due to style and fit.

They didn’t have any in the shop and when I look on the website there was only two shoes in an E fit and both look like school shoes 😩

Startrite do narrower fittings, as do some European brands. Clark’s make me furious because they simply say ‘he’ll need insoles’ (DS1, now 12, needs a 9D) rather than admit that we can get shoes that actually fit him elsewhere.

Thank you! I was looking at startrite but for some reason they don’t have any trainers on their site now? All sandals and canvas type shoes. I guess it’s their summer stuff out now. I’d like some trainers for him ideally.
Can you remember what European brands you’ve had success with?

My son was rather older (we had a local independent shoe shop when he was smaller) and someone here recommended this shop: https://www.wjfrenchandson.co.uk/

I gave them a ring and they were fabulously helpful.

I found Bobux quite good for narrow feet.
