Vivaia shoes - any good?

I get adverts for these a lot. They are quite £££ and shipped from US (!) . Not all the styles are stylish but they do look comfy. I have very bad feet and find summer really difficult so Im very tempted.
However, because I have very bad feet Im reluctant to but shoes online.
Does anyone have any experience of ordering from them? If so whats the quality like, are they worth it etc?

What do you mean by ‘bad feet’?

Plenty of Vivaia shoes for sale on Vinted. The going rate is usually around £30 per pair (the ones priced over that never sell) so a much cheaper way of trying them.

I have a few pairs. They’re quite comfy and very practical since they can go in the washing machine. Some styles look good, some look very dated / frumpy but obviously depends on your tastes.

I was wondering similar. Presumably you can return them from the official site (but check fees) but you can't on Vinted.

They are mainly fabric aren't they? So only suitable when not wet weather? Or are they more hardy...?

They’re made from recycled plastic bottles so are very hardy!

I would say if you have bad feet (assuming plantar fasciitis or fallen arches etc) then there is not enough support in them.

By bad feet I mean they are wide, I have a bunion , very prone to corns despite regular treatment, cannot wear flats or straps. My sizing is very inconsistent

In that case, they’re probably not suitable. They do have some wide fitting shoes but if you can’t wear flats or straps, that rules out pretty much everything they sell.

But they do have chunky sandals with wide straps, some heels etc. By flats I mean very flat shoes like ballerinas.

Most US retailers don’t accept returns. some do but check carefully.

In the U.K. we have regulations on long distance selling. In the US it’s different.

I had high hopes for these but they fit poorly and cut in, as well as cutting into my heels so I cannot recommend…

CarefulN0w · 12/04/2025 17:08

I’ve also been tempted a few times times due to wide feet & bunions, but have read of issues with sizing and returns and always chicken out due to the price. Watching the thread to see if anyone convinces me.

Mine fit really well and are very comfy. I mainly buy the Margot (in various colours). I tend to buy half a size smaller than usual in Vivaia unless they have very pointy toes but I do have quite slim feet.
