my mouth bears a distressing resemblance to a cat's arse...

Doing LighterLife has shifted a shedload of weight from my face and, I noticed today, has actually left me looking a bit haggard... particularly around the mouth where in repose I have several vertical indents beneath my lower lip and above my upper one - not a good look!

Can anyone suggest a (non-surgical)remedy that actually works or do I accept that I'm nearly 42 and 'cat's-arse mouth' syndrome is inevitable?

Oh, forgot to say, I have greasy open-pore skin on t-zone, very dry elsewhere.

And thin lips, so the added lines are particularly distressing!

Surgery?
(Well done on the weight loss though!)

Moondog thinks surgery

Can you have some restylane or something? It's a filler.

lovecat · 15/05/2008 21:58

WWW

I am a complete grooming ignoramus, have abused the 'advantage' of greasy skin over the years by running around in the wind/rain/sun after horses without sunblock or moisturiser, so now I'm paying the price, I suppose.

Have no idea what restylane is or what it costs, will go google , ta!

I knew it would make you feel better

waitrose baby bottom butter

lovecat · 15/05/2008 23:22

Ooh, charliecat, I've been thinking about getting some of that (if there's any left at this rate!), it'd be a damn sight cheaper to try than restylane, so that will be my first port of call.

I've been using the Boots 'perform & protect' stuff as & when I remember (usually after the gym, it's the only time I get 5 mins to myself in a bathroom environment without 'mummy, mummy, mummy, what you doing?' every 5 minutes so I doubt I use it often enough to have an effect, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference...

Perhaps polyfilla?

Restylene LIpp is a non-surgical procedure. It costs £400 for 1ml (where I have it - you could get it cheaper elsewhere perhaps...)
