Hardwearing, good-looking outdoorswear?

Where's good to buy practical, affordable but nice looking summer outdoors wear? Stuff you can stomp through a brambly wood or do a bit of gardening in, not just look outdoorsy.

The womens' sections of the usual outdoors shops is too depressing to look at - why is it all bright pink? Who wants to signal their gender to anyone in a mile radius while hiking?

I bought some lovely shorts from Gramicci last year. Also Finisterre. Lucy + Yak good for practical, outdoor clothes. LF Markey if I could afford it 🙄

Can you just buy the men's items?

I came on to suggest ACAI too

I do for some things, but the fit isn't very flattering. Men's hoodies flomp out at the stomach for me and men's trousers look weird on. OK for tees.

Acai This brand does nice stuff.

Oh, this is nice! I've heard Acai mentioned by some female gardeners actually. The leggings and trousers look good

Yes to Finisterre, but it is pricey. Have you looked on Vinted? I find a lot of good stuff on there from Craghoppers and Rohan. Some of the styles and fit can be a bit conservative, but I have had a lot of success, too. Craghoppers is great quality, mosquito-proof, and reasonably stylish. Rohan do nice fitted shirts which I love for dog-walking. Neither do an excess of pink.

Try Sport Pursuit for European outdoor brands?
