I guess I still dress much younger than I am, I don't look my age so I don't feel too guilty. I'm 33 and think it might be time for a change.

It occurred to me when out last night I had a full face of makeup and nobody else really did, it seems to be the only time I feel pretty! I want to have a more toned down prettier look as I think I can look quite harsh. I wear a lot of sneakers, joggy pants and crop tops etc. What would you recommend? I just want to feel a bit more natural

I mostly shop on Boohoo, I used PLT before their rebrand

If you generally only shop at two places you’re definitely missing out on most of the pleasure of getting dressed!

A great place to begin a wardrobe revival might be:

Huge variety of styles and budgets but you’re sure to find more inspiration than if I just say Have a look at Massimo Dutti or The Frankie Shop. Though you should do that, too.

The great thing about broadening your shopping horizons is that the sites that appeal to you will also indirectly suggest new beauty and grooming ideas at the same time.

Just not really sure what sort of style to go for! I'm tall and a size 16, very curvy so a lot of places clothes don't really fit my shape

So you have a lifetime of exploration and experimentation ahead of you! That’s all part of the fun of developing your own tastes. Just browse endlessly, with an open mind. Try new things - nothing bad will happen.

H&M or Mango?

I do a lot of scrolling/buying on ASOS but do find it hit or miss, some stuff I think I’ll love but then it’s poor quality or weirdly shaped.

(Sorry - probably wasn’t clear, the link I added above contains links to over 150 reputable fashion brands founded or owned by women. Some are very well known, others less so. You don’t need to have decided on a style to spend some time browsing and seeing if any of them appeal to you.)

I keep liking clothes I see on Cider adverts, but I’m not sure how good (or not) the quality is.

I’m 5’ 11 and a very curvy size 16 (as in big boobs and hips, small waist). I love www.sugarhillbrighton.com.
Some of their stuff can be a little on the overly quirky side (for my taste) but I love their jumpers and cardigans- tend to be on the longer side and the sizing is generous (I size down).

I lost a lot of weight last year and suddenly became interested in clothes again. I browsed lots of Style & Beauty threads, and looked up every brand that was mentioned. Once I got a sense of what I liked, I searched for those brands on Vinted. I now have a whole new wardrobe of stylish clothes which are more fashion-forward than the stuff I used to wear.

Some brands to start you off - Kemi Telford, Rixo, Pink City Prints, COS, & Other Stories, Sézane, Farm Rio, You Must Create, Me & Em, Saloni, Shrimps, Sessun, Erdem, Poetry, Toast, Self-Portrait, The Fold, Tara Jarmon, Gerard Darel, Kitri, Fabienne Chapot, Odd Molly, Palava, Aspiga, Theory, Damson Madder, Joseph, Maje, Isabel Marant, Diane von Furstenberg, Nicole Farhi, Margaret Howell, Rouje, Stine Goya, Arket, Staud, and Wyse. Just have a look and get a sense as to what you love, what you like, and what's not for you. And while you're getting the hang of your new style, I'd buy second-hand where you can.
