Any tips for getting rid of dry hard skin on heels

I have dry hard skin on my heels and I'm looking for the best way to get rid of it. Any foot file, pumice or product I should try?

I've got a glass foot file and I've been out but just had a shower and going to soak my feet in the bath and try it as I'm very curious!

I imagine it would work well on very dry skin but not right out of the shower.

Thought I'd try it on dry feet first, thinking it wouldn't work, and it took off so much dry skin! I tried not to overdo it but my feet already feel like the dry skin is gone! I've slathered on some body butter and I'm really impressed.

I will also look up flexitol and some of the other items mentioned so thanks eveurone again

@SpringIsSpringing25 I probably could drink more so will try to do this too!

@Judystilldreamsofhorses Love this way of thinking!

@BillyILash do you mean socks to wear with cream overnight or your usual socks? Sorry if I am being slow...

Another vote for the Footner socks, they really are amazing! And it’s so satisfying (and disgusting) picking off all the dead skin afterwards. 🤣

I use the Margaret Dabbs foot file and foot hygiene cream. Foot nurse for my Pa uses a scalpel and recommends using Flexitol once hard skin is removed.

Flexitol and any old foot file. But you have to keep on top of it.

Which flexitol? There's a foot cream, heel balm, hard skin and callus one... I have run of the mill had skin so I think maybe the heel balm. I didnt realise there were loads!

This is the glass foot file I ordered as it was cheap, looks nice and had five stars

The footner looks satisfying but I don't know if I need it after filing them.

@Eldermilleniallyogii ,I thought of this thread this evening, as I've improved upon my original practice. I've got new birkenstock sandals and they were really drying my feet out. So I cut off the tops of two freezer bags. I applied to each foot a pump of blue nivea, then a dollop of blue nivea tub, followed by a dollop of Egyptian Magic, basically fancy vaseline, then put on the plastic bags, put on socks over that, and stuck them under the covers to warm for an hour. I'm about to take off the plastic bags and will just put the sock back on for the usual overnight.
