Hoping to gather some ideas 😊
It is my DDs 18th birthday soon and we want to buy her a special necklace.
She loves jewellery so we know she would appreciate this.
I'm going down a rabbit hole though. We can't afford a Tiffany necklace but would like something equally elegant, feminine and timeless. Something I would hope she would like to wear in another 20/30 years still.
She likes silver (white gold would also be fine but appreciate would put the price up).
I was looking at Clogau and seen a couple of things there I like (added a pic of one), also Swarovski, nomination and pandora.
What have you bought your girls that was well received?
Would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

She gave us hints and links to ones she liked, and we chose.

We also bought her a jewellery making day - is that something your dd would like?

I love Alison Moore’s jewellery: https://www.alisonmoore.co.uk/collections/necklaces

We just bought dd a necklace for her 18th. We made a day of it, went to a nice town local to her uni and went round lots of vintage shops. She’s ended up with something she loves that is quite unlike when we anticipated for her. My parents did similar for my 18th - went to Birmingham jewellery quarter and had a real look round. Neither of us are huge jewellery wearers so it was good to try different shapes/weights/stones/chain lengths to really think through what worked

For my dds 18th i commissioned a necklace, the jeweller used gold from my nans wedding ring, I went with an opal stone. It cost around £150 which I thought was reasonable and dd loves it.

Do you have a proper gold jewellers near you? I would go there, it will only increase in value and you can negotiate price
