I'm sure this must come up every year but all advice greatly received.

I'm 48 have patchy red skin, fine lines, large open pores sadly due to the ageing process. Also dark undercyles and bags, paint a lovely picture don't I .

With makeup a I can look ok but I do wear quite a lot of stuff .

What can I use in very hot weather (off to Greece this summer)so that I am not covered in lots of slap but still look ok.

All that from beauty editors about going naked with a sweep of mascara and lipgloss in the summer does not cut the mustard with skin like mine.

I know there are lots of products out there but some are quite drying so not suitable for my skin.

Need pore minimiser ,non crease eyeshadows and lippy that really work.

Clinique pore minimiser instant perfector is great - keeps you un-oily, but doesn't actually dry you out, ime. Maybe mineral makeup?

Pore minimiser. Actually, if you've got dry skin, then maybe tinted moisturiser rather than mineral makeup.

You could try this from MAC for oily and creased eyelids, works v.well on my Mum. Plus you can use for bags too. Although I think touche eclat is light enough for use in summer.

I would use a mineral based powder for light but consistent coverage - Jane Iredale have an excellent range. I have very dry skin and use this so it certainly won't dry your skin out.

I wouldn't use a lipstick in the summer, I would go for a grown up gloss or use balms. Personally I use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream on my lips in the summer, keeps them lovely and soft. For more glam occassions I will use any of the Clarins colour quench gloss range or a lip stain with 8 hour cream on top to add shimmer and seal.

Please try Sensifluid cleanser (from Aderma) for your patchy red skin - it will help .

Lauren Mercier tinted moisturizer. They have a special one for dryer skin, I think. Her make-up is really soft and pretty. Bobbi Brown also has really good makeup for women who want more of an understated look. Both are make-up lines for "grown-ups"

Many thanks for all the feed back.

Missingmyheels can you get testers for Jane Iredale anywhere?

You can't get testers to take home but all stockists should have a big make-up stand and they will colour match for you.

Where in the UK are you (roughly)? I know of a couple in Surrey/London
