Fashionable / 'young' trainers that have structure and support!

I know I shouldn't care about what looks young, or what looks cool, but - for my sins, I do.

What is the trainer style in fashion at the moment, particularly for younger people?

And does anyone have any recommendations of a brand that combines that fashion with good internal structure? (i.e. a bit of arch and shaping around the foot).

I get a lot of pain in my hips if I wear trainers that look nice on the outside but are like hollow flats on the inside.

Good question and one I’ve been pondering!

I have a lot of Ecco shoes and it’s difficult to find a similar comfort level.

New balance seem to be the in thing and should have gd support especially with the price tag on some of them!

New balance for me, I’ve worn my pair out!

New Balance for me too. I’ve got DH into them too and he can’t believe the difference. When we used to go out he’s start talking about back pain after an hour or so, now he never does! He says they’re like slippers they’re so comfortable and he looks good in them.

I have Adidas Speziale and find them supportive compared to many totally flat trainers. Also the more sports shoe looking New Balance are very comfy.

Bright 80s trainers seem to be the thing with mine, borrowed a natty pair of red hi-tecs the other day and was very impressed with the ankle support especially.

HOKA shoes are having a moment. I would recommend a stability shoe - something like Gaviota 5.
