Can I actually go out dressed like this?

Mum bought me a really lovely scarf thing from Paris last week. Striped vaguely ethnicy-looking in really pretty colours. I am wearing it wrapped round me as a skirt sarong-style. Comes to just above the knee. I like it but is it too naff and/or young Bearing in mind I have no nice summer skirts atm - they are all a few years old and too big and I haven't had a chance to buy any this year. My other options are jeans or work clothes

DD and DS#1 said yes but what do they know? I didn't have to do the school run this morning as the older 2 walked to school and DS#2 is at home. But I will have to venture out later.

its probably ok as long as you wear it to get to the nearest new look/monsoon/fat face and treat yourself to some skirts that are well cut and fit you!

Sarong style will look just fine without footwear - very "hippy" and casual for this lovely weather.

I posted this twice and on the other thread I admitted that on a second look it appears the damned thing is see-through so the project has been abandoned. And I'm going shopping asap.
