Socks that don’t dig in!

I’m hoping you can recommend some socks to wear with cropped straight or barrel legged jeans and trainers.
I’m size 12 and 5’7 with size 8 feet.

Any socks I wear seem to dig in and so when I sit down and my jeans rise up a bit, there’s an unsightly leg bulge over the top !

I’ve tried knee length socks but these geel
too tight too ! And quite hot.

Any recommendations to spare my muffin top legs? !!

I'm going to be trying out some of the socks mentioned above. I've had no luck with diabetic socks or 'soft top' ones. I have the skinniest legs on the planet yet they still manage to leave deep marks!!

If they leave a mark still.. are you on your feet all day? Do you drink enough water? ( Fluid retention) Hope you find some.

I also came on to suggest diabetic socks ( got mine from Amazon).

As do I!

I suffer from this as well, but am a bit dubious about bamboo socks because the ones I’ve had in the past always make my feet really hot.

I’ve just bought sock shop gentle grip - I’m recovering from a broken ankle and these are pretty good

I'm size 8 shoes but have been buying men's 9-11 socks. You can also buy men's socks with a 'comfort' top so they stay up but don't dig in. Sainsburys and Asda sell them. Not very glam I know but it works for me 😁

I had a proper rant about this when I was in Tesco with my dad
Told him to go find me a pair of size 8 women’s socks. He came back “they’re all size 4-7! And more expensive! What if you have bigger feet?”
Me “EXACTLY”
I got men’s socks Grin

Buy men’s socks. They are better made. Sad but true

I thoroughly recommend Flexitop socks. Do t buy anything else now.

Another vote for Gentle Grip socks. They have so many cute designs or plain colours including black. I buy them on Amazon or the women section in our Matalan (as someone mentioned the men section).

These from Calzedonia. Even supposedly soft top socks still give me ankle muffin top but these are perfect. I also just cut the elastic off standard socks which works just as well.

Diabetic socks

Also on a mission! Size 8/9 feet - that’s the tricky part, I think.

I got some from Gentle Grip -(10% off 1st order) and they’re perfect on my foot, but still a little bit tight around the top. However, because there’s a wide elastic band thing, it’s nowhere near as bad as normal socks.

No quite the reverse, I'm mainly sitting. I do drink quite a bit but get dehydrated easily. There's no puffiness in my legs though, so doesn't seem like fluid retention.

I too am in that difficult size range and find 4-7 too small! I've ordered some Sock Shop ones, at least they do size 7-11, although your choice of colours is very much reduced.

Matalan comfort top socks - they come in packs of three. I sometimes see them in charity shops as well.

I like a slightly thicker sock to wear with walking trainers for everyday wear, but not full on wooly socks - the Bridgedale dingle socks are the most perfectly comfortable ones I’ve ever found.
