Is it worth the hype?

I’m looking for something to swirl all over my face and make me glow, I don’t want to look glittery or greasy. Just healthy!

I like it but I'm 60 with dry skin. That whole range is really designed for older skin and I imagine is much too greasy for most younger.

I also have never got the hang of swirling it all over. I like the compacts of three minis best - I use the darker colours as blush, lip balm and eye colour and lighter shade as highlighter. As my skin gets dryer in the day I often add some to my upper forehead and cheekbones.

Not a miracle product, but it works for me. However, I LOVE their What The Foundation - fantastic stuff, again, I think v much for older skin.

I’ve struggled with it. I needed new make up so I bought some just over a year ago and I don’t think the mini sizes were available then. I wish they had been.

As a PP says, the pots are big and the prices are high. They say you can return it but it’s a pain and I was in two minds for a while so ended up keeping it.

Anyway, here is what I bought and was also given:
the miracle balm - I’m using this as a blusher, it’s going to take me ages to get through it. It has to be used sparingly as otherwise it’s so greasy.

My sister gave me the colourless miracle balm as she couldn’t get on with it and honestly it really is a load of shite! I’m the target market (I’m 57) but it just makes me look a shiny mess and illuminates imperfections. There are far better products out there.

I bought the foundation - getting the right colour is tricky and I got one pot that has a dry spongy consistency, it’s OK. Then my sister gave me the same product in a darker shade which was an entirely different greasier consistency.

I bought 2 pencils for adding a bit more coverage - they’re shit and don’t blend well with the foundation at all and don’t blend well without the foundation either.

I am going to keep using the foundation and tinted miracle balm because I can’t afford to ditch them but honestly I think BB is taking the piss. There are far far better products out there IMO and I’m cross with myself for falling for it!

I struggle to understand this stuff. The original colours are VERY sheer. If you apply enough to see any colour payoff you are left with sticky goo all over your face. If you use the recommended very light amount, the colour becomes invisible.
the newer colours seem to have been created with this in mind so they are more pigmented but as with the original they remain tacky.

I imagine if you had VERY dry skin it might be absorbed like a moisturiser but you’d have to be parchment dry surely.

and if you apply it on top of foundation it breaks up whatever is under it. It’s all oils so it does exactly what putting oil on top of foundation would do. It dissolves it and makes it patchy

I bought the foundation and a blusher one
the blusher pot is huge but I do use it only a bit and then put highlighter powder over it to stop the stickiness.

def wouldn’t buy again
