At home gel that doesn't damage nails?

Does anyone have any tips/tricks/recommendations for at home gel nails that don't damage your nails?

I currently use regular nail polish, and my nails are not strong, and it chips very quickly. I'd like to try gels (at home because I haven't the time or money for salon) for the lasting, but I'm worried about them damaging my nails even more?

I would recommend Glaize- stick on gel nails that are made to measure. They last 2-3 weeks for me.

Sassy Saints dipping powders are fab. My natural nails have never been as long.. I can't believe they are my hands and - own nails- each time I do a removal and replacement set

It's the removal that damages your nails, but you can get a mylee remover gel you paint on and the polish sort of crackles off.
You can't go wrong with mylee. Sns im not so sure, it is basically superglue on your nails.

I tried glaize and they are great

Qualified nail technician here: you absolutely can go wrong with this brand, and this type of remover from any brand is the most frowned upon remover in our industry. Have a look at the SDS sheets, the chemicals used in them are awful.

Mylee on the whole is not recommended by any nail technician, it's one of the leading brands known to cause allergic reactions due to its high levels of chemicals.

Please do your research into reputable brands.

Aside from this, I was a home user before I qualified, but I'd recommend doing an online course (even for as little as £30) as access to a qualification can be invaluable knowledge in nail health- and also give you access to professional only brands

I think it’s shocking you can do a course for as little as £30!!! I can’t imagine how safe that can be.

I qualified as a beauty therapist back in the 90’s and the amount of learning we had to do, as well as practice was a full time course for 2 years, as well as extra hours on a couple of nights a week for add ons (electrolysis was mine).

@BeretRaspberry totally agree with you there! I think it depends on the route you take, I qualified a few years ago with a beauty therapist course but took on training with the brand I chose to use in nails-I could go off topic all day there haha! I think you can't ever stop people from home using, so I'd rather suggest a form of course so they can access better training with professional brands and not cause themselves problems in the long run- I suppose it's better than nothingBlush

Oh! Fair dos! Happy to be corrected.
I did find rubbish from Amazon was horrible but the mylee was fine. Also I'm super careful to only put the remover on the gel nail not my skin.

I'm not sure any of it is any good for us really.
