I have just bought a new Touche Eclat for the black ringed eyes I'm about to get. And I've stocked up on Crabtree & Evelyn body scrub & body butter.

What else will make me feel more me?

Do not suggest I slob around for a few months. That's not going to happen!

comfy yet attractive clothes

gorgeous bandeau / scarf things for the days when hairwashing doesn't happen

SoupDragon · 12/05/2008 11:07

Get a full time nanny/maternity nurse.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 12/05/2008 11:12

I should be OK for clothes, I have plenty of 'inbetween' sizes so no excuses for staying in maternity wear. I will miss wearing summery shift dresses this year but short of taking them off or pulling them up to my neck, I really won't be able to breast-feed in them!

Bandeaus and scarves, good idea, but I'm crap with them. Explain intricacies please.

dry shampoo
a good base for your face and mascara
face wipes
a nice changing bag makes me feel better!

my baby is 3 weeks and i feel the best thing is clothes that fit me now, not baggy or misfitting iyswim.

EffiePerine · 12/05/2008 11:23

and as for exfoliating...

zazen · 12/05/2008 11:23

Get a wrap for your waist!
Lose your mummy tummy by Julie Tupler is a great book for making you feel more like yourself again. here it is in amazon

Good luck with the birth - hope all goes according to plan - and that your baby obliges!

EffiePerine · 12/05/2008 11:24

Oh and get your hair cut shortly beforehand if poss. Had mine done on the day I went into labour (well, as I was having early contractions, don't leave it THAT late) and it looks great in all post-birth photos

MamaG · 12/05/2008 11:25

cod did you really just say "fanny"

MrsBadger · 12/05/2008 11:26

shirt dresses v good for feeding

scarves - either buy readfy-elasticated ones from Claire's or Accessorize, or use a normal scarf but, rtaher than tying ends at the nape fo your neck, use a hair elastic as though you were making a ponytail. Less likely to slip off.

Enid · 12/05/2008 11:27

get hair done and legs waxed

buy easy tinted moisturiser

but really, slob out a BIT

MrsBadger · 12/05/2008 11:28

oh and get waxed and pedicured before due date

RubySlippers · 12/05/2008 11:29

cardy · 12/05/2008 11:30

Enid · 12/05/2008 11:31

(feeding - it stinks)
