Facial product recommendations

So, I don't really have a skincare regime currently but I went to a spa recently and had a facial where they used (many!) Elemis products and my skin felt and looked amazing afterwards. Then I went to the spa shop and nearly fainted at the prices (£50 for a pot of moisturiser Confused). I'd still like to treat myself to some nice facial skincare products but maybe without the massive price tag, does anyone have any recommendations? Doesn't have to be super budget, I'm happy to spend a bit where needed, but just can't justify that much on a single tub when she put about 6 different things on my skin! I'm in my early 40s if that makes any difference to suggestions. Thanks!

Have a look at The Ordinary.
They are a at a great price point and excellent quality (do you could get quite a few decent products, a good face cream/serum/eye cream etc)

Boots stock it too in larger stores so you can click and collect.

Have a look at this link, you can build a routine.

Lots of typos there but I'm sure you can work out what I mean!

If you wanted Elemis, you can often get a very good deal on QVC today's special value.

Try Superfacialist - available in supermarkets and good products which smell and feel nice.

I would say, save yourself the time and effort of trying out loads alternatives that you might not like, and buy what they used on you! You can get on QVC as others suggested. IIWY I’d get their moisturiser and serums and get a cheaper face wash maybe?

Really good point thanks @LadyCrumb!

I would also recommend The Ordinary for your moisturiser and cleanser, and a retinoid anti-ageing night cream from one of the dermatology pharmacies like Monderma, Dermatica and Skin+Me. You can spend £35-40 per month on 9/10 skincare.

Also look on Vinted. Elemis is very frequently found in Beauty Boxes and people sell on what they don't want.

If you're on Facebook there's a group called Skincare Freaks - Donate, Buy & Sell/Trade it's a large group and very well modded. There are rules about selling items at a fair price and rules about how to manage safe transactions. It's a good way of picking up some bargains.

Thanks for this - I use Vinted loads but would never have thought to look for beauty stuff

In my experience it's rare enough to find a skincare product that you love, so if Elemis worked for you (I also love the brand) I would try and find it at a discount rather than look for alternatives

Highly recommend an Irish brand called Nyrah they do a sample box .
In sample box you get a miniature of every product they do.
Suitable for my extremely sensitive skin.
Best of all whole box of goodies cost £25.99.
Have a look at their website.
