why would you want to? .... sorry white sandals? white.... for a boy? they will be white for twenty minutes then they will be brown. Loads of brown ones in the shops!!

beautifuldays · 09/05/2008 21:57

ah i know thy will be wrecked within 5 mins but that's ok. he only has to wear them for one day.

it's to go with a cream linen suit (3/4 length shorts) for a wedding.

White birkies (in the boys' section). Not sure they go up big enough though.

Heated · 09/05/2008 22:03

Then why not something like this? They will see him through the summer as well.

beautifuldays · 09/05/2008 22:05

thanks jackieno the birkies look cool. will either go with them or these

(cream linen suit & bluey green shirt)

does anyone know if it's possible to buy startrite or clarks shoes online anywhere or do i have to trawl round the shops till i find them in his size?

Or Shoes?

bambi06 · 09/05/2008 22:09

what about vertbaudet

Heated · 09/05/2008 22:10

Do you have a children's shoe shop near you? DS's preferred colour wasn't in and because it was a Startrite sandal they could order it and it arrived in 2 days.

beautifuldays · 09/05/2008 22:15

thanks jackie, the shoes do look smart, my only concern is that because he is a H width fitting in shoes, any standard shop shoes are highly unlikely to fit him iyswim, whereas sandals have a bit of give.

so will my local shoe shop order them in then? that's a good idea, cos i need these for dd too.

will ask dh whether he thinks white birkies or startrite ones.

oh that link didn't work. they're white clarks ballet style shoes with a pale blue butterfly on. nevermind! will ring local shoe shop and ask.

thanks!

a pair of beige loafer style shoes would look lovely with a pale linen suit

here

premature posting. meant to add that despite the freakish mn prejudice they are really good for wide feet and look sweet on tiny feet.

PortAndLemon · 09/05/2008 22:39

White and cream don't really go together, though. If it's to go with cream trousers you'd probably be better off going for beige/natural rather than white.
