Should I buy Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair?

I have a little money to burn and am looking for a nice luxury serum to use on my off nights from actives. I am a bit of a skincare aficionado and have been using prescription strength tretinoin for decades as well as Vitamin C and Copper peptides for the past 18 years or there abouts. Do SPF, Growth factors and all that jazz as well as an LED mask most days and some dermal needling.

My skin is good but I like to give it a night off from actives a couple of nights a week and I want to give it a little TLC with something nice that supports its own repair, would the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair fit the bill? I do have a sample size and it is nice but I'll use it up fairly quickly so I just wanted to know how longer term users find it?

I really like it but have no idea if it really does anything! My Nain used to use it and she had great skin. Look Fantastic does great deals on it sometimes (20% off).

I've used it for +20yrs. I'm mid fifties and often get told I have lovely skin. (Of course I don't think I do but it's nice to hear!)

I use it along with their night cream. I have no idea if it's doing anything positive other than feeling nice.

But I like it and a bottle last ages.

I also use it- I really liked it when I had the sample, now I can't really tell? I guess you won't know until years down the line whether it has worked or not!

I love it, especially the eye cream.

My mum is 74 and has used it for about 30+ years, she has amazing skin. I've tried it a few times but didn't warm to it, I thought my skin got conjested when using it, I might have been using too much.

Personally I put ANR and Clarins double serum in the same category.

I have used both, and they are both lovely to use. They do hydrate well. But did I see a big difference when I stopped.... No.

I used Body Shop oil for life after and felt that gave the same result.

I like to try all the cult/iconic products, so I've tried anr 2 or 3 times over the years to see if it would be different as I've aged, but no it did nothing for me. It must be great for those it suits.

I like it and do see a difference when I don’t use it. I have tried the Lancôme serums, Clarins etc and none suit so well. It’s odd because I generally avoid Estée Lauder skincare and foundation because they are the only products that I have ever had an adverse reaction to - however, I like and have no adverse effects from any in the ANR range.

Recently on here a lady on a column about best beauty products last year recommended the tear drop capsule Elizabeth Arden collagen things. I’ve been surprised by how good a number of their products are ( love the peel and reveal visible difference range mask) and see they’re now selling the full Arden range in big Boots stores so that will be my next try. However, costly as it is, I’ll keep using ANR too.

I liked the science behind the Boots serums but found they gave me spots, which isn’t what I’m looking for in middle age! However, I do love the injector shaped pen serum which has matrixil(?) in it and my 11s lines became so much more noticeable in a period when I stopped using it. Worth a try?

I used ANR for years and even when money was tight I prioritised buying it. In lockdown when counters were closed I ran out, so I picked up the Inkey List HA serum as a stopgap, and actually never went back to ANR.

I have the inky list HA serum and HA serums on their own don't do much for me. I was tending to think it was the fermented ingredients that were the magic sauce?
