I am being led astray by the Guardian beauty section- tell me Rhode glazing milk is rubbish

Has anyone tried it? I was tempted. Then I saw the £7 postage cost. I must stop reading the beauty section. If is mostly stuff for IMO silly money

I can achieve the same look with sunscreen. I already have various moisturisers to suit my other skincare needs. What is it you are wanting to achieve with this product? The 'dewy' look? Then most sunscreens dry dewy.

It was the hydration really. Always wear spf 50 day anyway

Well, there's plenty of good moisturisers about for hydration. Is your skin particularly dry?

How funny I had a look at the website after the review but clicked off it as I really don’t need it.
Would be intrigued to know if anyone else rates it or not.

Thanks all- I’ll pass on the Rhode.
I am in my 50’s and can’t seem to keep my skin from drying- despite the serums and moisturiser and sunscreen.
the menopausal chin acne is rather irritating too- nothing seems to stop the bumps from appearing.

@BigButtons, it looks like you want to look for soothing, anti inflammatory ingredients that calm the skin down.

The Ectoin (link I posted) is something I read about. It derives from oats and is supposed to be very good at calming the skin. I've not bought any myself yet, (in my 50s and menopausal too).

The skincare I'm personally using on my face mainly is Dr Organics Royal Jelly brightening cream which tackles hyperpigmentation and is effective in my experience. It has a seaweed extract which inhibits excess melanin production. The Royal Jelly also balances hormonal (oestrogenic) effects on the skin. It also contains aloe which is soothing and calming. Plus contains Zinc which calms inflammation and inhibits overgrowth of fungi/bacteria. I also use Zinc and Castor oil cream on any breakouts.

Thanks so much! I will look that up. I am on HRT but most of the time my chin looks like I am suffering from some sort of plague. It’s been going on for years- I am pretty sure it’s linked with the progesterone.
i certainly need something to calm
my skin🙂

The byoma milky toner is meant to be a great dupe
