Best summer clothes for skinny women?

I can't stand my sticky out collar-bone, stick-thin arms and legs.

Which rules out many of the tops (in particular) I've seen so far which all seem to be v-neck, scoop-neck, short-sleeved or vest style.

I know some people think that skinny women can wear anything but it's simply not true.

Any ideas?

flowery skirts and dresses are in .
with black tights if you are worried about lets . but if they have detail on the waist then people will look there rather than your legs . also you could were a normal T-shirt / vest . but wiht a brightly coloured cardi over hte top ? hope im a help .

Gap have some lovely basic tees at the moment £6, they are short sleeved but not really short and fit lovely.

I am a major skinny minny and I think my arms look lovely in them.

I am skinny and small of nork and I look good (I hope ) in boat-neck tops and not too deep V-neck tops or not too high round necks.
Problem is the skinny calves. In knee/calf-length skirts I look like that kids TV character Bod, from the 70's.

I think skinny women can wear most tops apart from deep vs. That thing where you get the chest bones sticking out isn't fab

empire line or smocks - there are tons of those in New Look

Big prints - there are even more of them - think Audrey Hepburn boat neck shifts with big flowery prints - ever so chic on skinnies - very envious by the way

I want to know this too!

I have found that the puffy sleeved blouses work well - got one last year by accident, and have had loads of compliments every time I wear it so have bought one more.

Wondering if I get a few more they will all blur into one and people will think I'm wearing the same clothes every day???

Have just bought one of those round-necked cardigans with 3 big buttons (60s style?).

Can't decide if it's good for skinnies or makes me look lost in it?

Thanks everyone.

I think shirts and blouses are the way to go - have seen some on the Esprit and M&S websites. I was thinking perhaps I could also wear a thin white or coloured vest underneath a low-neck top?

I've also seen nice lightweight linen jackets in Dorothy Perkins (look much better in rl than on the website)

I also need to find some decent footwear.

lol at Bod! I know just what you mean shitemum.
