I used to work for Racing Green when they were good (many years ago) and they used to do a slightly stretchy bootcut trew with side zip, they were really nice.

matalan have a really nice pair of denim jeans with white stripes - but my good mate has them so don't feel I can get them (or really do them justice as legs not best feature)
