Skincare and surgical menopause

I've recently had my ovaries removed so have gone straight into surgical menopause. My skin is feeling really tight, not dry as in flakey, but just generally very dehydrated.

I'm using a combination of Weleda Skin Food mixed with Aldi Rose Oil at night, and during the day, Cerave moisturiser with a bit of Skin Food mixed in (to avoid a mega shiny face) but my skin feels like it could 'drink' more.

I'm 51, so it's not like I wasn't going through this soon anyway, but the suddenness of it worries me a bit. I know it is vain, but I've always had very good skin and don't want it to suddenly all collapse on me.

I'm on HRT, eat well and am drinking loads of water.

Are there any suggestions for maybe a magical something I could add to my skincare, for day time especially, that would make my skin feel really hydrated but without looking too greasy /shiny?

I'm pretty basic with skincare in general, minimal make up, occasionally use retinol, mainly use high street brands. Willing to push the boat out a bit financially if there is a magic potion.

Thank you!

I didn't want to hit and run. I feel you. Prescription tret takes 3-5 years off as a night cream. Botox possibly the same again.

Tret comes in three strengths: 0.025%, 0.05% and 0.1%. Retinol is useless. Monderma, Skin+me, and regulated pharmacies sell it for £20-25 a tube. Some get it through the NHS.
