Product and tools for fine, sparse, poofy/frizzy hair

I have awful hair. It’s very fine and pretty curly. Unfortunately, because it’s also very sparse (curse you, perimenopause!) I don’t get ‘nice’ curls – they thin and straggly, and I am cursed with a lot of straight sections so it just looks a mess.

So, I have to dry it straight, but that looks awful too, because it’s so frizzy, flyaway and poofy. I can make it look better with straighteners, but that can’t be great for it.

Condition-wise, it isn’t overly dry or anything (my hairdresser noted this recently, and I can tell for myself when I do let the curl out), but it’s quite fragile and prone to breakage, which obviously doesn’t help with the overall thinness and is the reason why I’m nervous about relying too much on straighteners.

Is there a magic product out there that will help me to make it look better when I’ve blow-dried it? A serum or a treatment or frankly anything that will sort out the poof? Or even a tool that I can use to help me blow-dry better, because I am admittedly pretty cack-handed with my hairdryer and blow-dry brush.

I don’t want to change my shampoo and conditioner just yet, because I’m in the middle of a programme to try to encourage hair growth, but honestly, any other tips would be very gratefully received – especially if it’s simple enough for a time-poor hair-dunce like me to manage!

I've got one of those hairdrying brush things - a Revlon One Step. It is good for taming the frizz without overdrying the hair. I then use argan oil afterwards. The Garnier tubs of hair food are cheap and pretty effective too. My hair is thin, frizzy and fragile and I use twice as much leave-in product as I used to.

I have fine, fragile peri-menopausal hair. It was prone to breakage but it has massively improved since I upped my ferritin levels (by taking Ferrograd C every few days - you can buy it over the counter or online) and using Kerastase Genesis serum daily (before bed every night). The serum has really helped both the breakage and how my hair looks. It was recommended by my hair stylist (this is the only product he’s ever recommended in 25+ years of knowing him).

K18 is amazing, the mask post shower on towel dried hair. I dont use heat or anything else afterwards.
I have tried olaplex, color Wow, Keratin treatment and philip kingsleys elasticizer but k18 is the best.

I have similar hair. Found this works best.
I dry it with a Revlon One Step, so much easier than trying to manipulate brush & dryer. I use Garnier Hair Food as a leave in conditioner & then when it’s dry use this

Just wanted to come back and say thank you again for all the suggestions.

@Darklane especially - thank you for the recommendation of the Elvive Bond Repair serum, I'm getting on really well with it.
