Cream for Age Spots

So, I'm of an age (69) where the blasted age spots are appearing all over face, arms and decolletage.

Is there anything really that will clear/reduce them, or will I be wasting my money?

I am currently using the Nivea age spot product, but wonder whether there is something out there that doesn't break the bank and actually work?

I'm 38 but also have a considerable amount of sun damage in the form of age spots, presumably from tanning in my teens and 20s. My pregnancies exacerbated it too. Not only on my face but chest and lower stomach. It really upsets me.

I've spent years trying cosmetics and procedures to improve it and the good news is that it's much easier to reduce than wrinkles and redness/rosacea.

IPL (laser) treatment is excellent. It's usually removed after 4-6 sessions spaced out over a month and lasts for up to 5 years at a time.

TCA (chemical peel) treatment also works. Again, typically 4-6 sessions.

Tretinoin/hydroquinone cream is effective in 6 months. Monderma sells it.

These are the only 3 ways and I'd say are 90% effective. Once you've had it done make sure to wear sunscreen to prevent more from appearing. And use over-the-counter skincare ingredients like niacinamide and azelaic acid to keep your skin clear. The Ordinary sell them.

Laser, peel and night cream all fade it. Each can come with downtime, with laser and peels lasting several days after each session. Tretinoin and hydroquinone less so if you start low. Previously I used 0.025% hydroquinone 2% and 2% niacinamide from Monderma and had no peeling until I increased to 4% hydroquinone. It goes up to 12% but 2-4 is more than sufficient.
