Volume loss in face

The other day I saw a photo of myself taken about 5 years ago & now I look much more haggard! I was trying to pinpoint how I've aged (I'm 43 for context). I don't have significantly more wrinkles but my face has started to hollow and sag.
I think I'm probably perimenopausal at this point.
Has anyone tried anything that works? I don't really want fillers at this point - wondering if profhilo or collagen supplements might help?

Sculptra- This would replace your volume loss. Profhilo only hydrates the skin.

I had filler dotted around my face ..not in certain places. It's given me a fresher look it replaces the lost collagen. It's the best money I've spent

Thanks, I've heard good things about sculptra but I can't seem to find anywhere near me that offers it. I will see what's around further afield.

Trying to avoid filler as I've seen some dodgy photos where it's really obvious but it's good to hear positive stories!

I’d be worried about build up and ending up with “ pillow face” Now you’ve started it, it will have to be maintained. You’d be better off with treatment to stimulate collagen.

No had it done ages ago. No sign of it needing redoing tbh

This isn’t true. You don’t have to “maintain” it at all.

pillow face will happen when you keep going back for maintenance treatments that aren’t necessary. A sprinkle here and there, every 12 months (provided the filler has been metabolised at this point) can look excellent.

For facial volume loss in certain areas, fillers are the best option.
eg under eyes, temples, nasolabials

Sculptra is excellent. But it doesn’t quite do the same thing. They both have their equal place

I’ve just started a course of hydration injections (skin boosters) and I already notice a difference. I’ve had my under eye filler dissolved as it migrated and never metabolized and I won’t do that again! The pain was horrific

That sounds interesting @EspanaPorfavor
Do they have a brand name?
I've seen pictures of good results from polynucleotides but mainly under the eyes.
It's my cheeks and general sagginess that I'd like to address but I don't want that pillowy obvious look that fillers sometimes give

I tackle it from two angles - daily marine collagen to boost production from the inside; light strategic filler, light Botox.
Filler was done two years ago, and is holding well, no maintenance needed.

I am considering a thread lift for the slight jowls I don’t like the look of.

Profhilo is a skin hydration booster. I had it and didn't really notice a lot of difference tbh, although some people apparently swear by it and you're only 43 so it might be enough to give you back what you feel you've lost.

I tried filler and didn't like it - it looked lumpy to me and I felt very self-conscious. Sculptra is amazing and I do recommend it, but just bear in mind that nothing will give you back the face you had five years ago. It can improve how you look, temporarily, but there will be lining and sagging and loss of volume and it will be ongoing, whatever you do. You're always fighting a losing battle unless you're prepared to have the more invasive things done and throw a lot of money at it.

I tried Profhilo last year. It was very expensive for not much, if any, visible difference.

I've never heard of Sulptra, but it does sound good, so I think I'll look into this further.
