Talk me into Estée Lauder Double Wear?

On the search for a new foundation as my rosacea prone skin has turned oily over the last few years (PCOS/Endo). I had been using the it cosmetics cc cream with a setting powder but it’s just not cutting it anymore. Every single google search seems to land on Double Wear being the holy grail foundation for oil control but I just need some encouragement from here I think 🤣

It does stay on well but it can look very flat and mask like. Awful in photos as it reflects light and you look like a ghost. I used to find it rubbed off on particularly oily areas and went patchy.

I have quite oily skin/prone to acne from foundation but get on very well with Clarins BB detox cream.

I’ve used it for years. I regularly wear it for 14hrs a day and it doesn’t move an inch.

I don’t find it heavy or cakey and I regularly get compliments on it. I have oily skin and it’s been a game changer. Probably the only product I can’t live without.

ETA - I went into John L so that the lady could colour match it to my skin. I would advise you to do that if you want to try it out.

There's a light version which might be better? I have rosacea and use Boots No7 Hydraluminous.

I completely agree with the first comment re it being mask like, there's a lighter version though, I've never tried that one.

Used the double wear cc cream and while it was gorgeous and got so many compliments it’s bloody hard work in terms of putting it on and requires a bit of face cracking before it’s comfortable 😅Personally I’d check out clarins foundation or bb cream

There are so many newer formulations that stay on but look more skin like. Dior Forever range has different finishes. YSL all hours, guerlain in the oval bottle with the lopsided cap. There's an Hourglass one also.

Try going to a big beauty counter

The only hourglass one I found that’s suited for oilier skin is the stick foundation?
