Help! Jangly turkey neck help!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 13/01/2025 18:41

I'm in my 40's and have started noticing that the area under my chin is getting noticeably saggy and my youngest DC likes to tickle it and call it my turkey neck 😳🙈

How can I sort this?! Non surgically I must add! Is there any magic potion or exercises I can do? I've started putting serum and moisturiser there but would normally just moisturise my actual face only.

Thanks for any miracle suggestions!

Non surgical include:
RF/ microneedling
polynucleotide injections
Laser
Tretinoin
LED
Exercises
All come with some down time, varies according to the client, need several sessions, have variable results( so need top ups) and are quite expensive. You need to do your research and decide which is right for you. Home devices are not going to be as powerful as salon machines, and require time and commitment.
I’m afraid the only treatment to make a real difference is invasive- a neck/lower face lift.

Really, can Tretinoin help with this? Is there one you'd recommend that can be bought online?

Unfortunately, a lot of it is to do with genetics - I know, as both my mum and I developed Turkey necks in our 40’s. Saying that, two things have helped a lot.

  1. pilates and/or yoga
  2. prai neck cream. I never believe skin care claims, but I really think this cream has helped.
I think my neck looks better than it did 10 years ago.

I use Dermatica on subscription. Skin and me provide a similar service, which is made to your individual need and you are monitored.

Thanks for the replies, I've never heard of any of these things 😳 I'll have a look!

My neck has also started to go very crinkly in my (early!) 40’s. I have very soft/delicate/celtic skin so I think this probably has something to do with it. I think it has improved a bit with tret (skin&me). My skin is very good in other ways though and I suspect it’s a case of pros and cons of different skin types. I will probably get it sorted surgically in the end though I imagine - definitely lean more towards this kind of intervention over injectables.
