Deodorant for very sensitive teen

I'm trying to find a deodorant that won't bring my young teen daughter out in a very itchy rash. We've tried Salt of the Earth, Scrubbington's, Sanex Dermo for Sensitive, and Mitchum. She really needs something to help with the BO and I can't afford to keep buying multiple expensive brands only to find they give her a bad rash. Any recommendations would be most welcome. Thanks!

Our fiery armpitted teen uses Sebamed Balsam Roll on successfully …

Does she react to other things? My dd had a test at the hospital for 101 different chemicals and it has changed her life really. Now we know what she can and can't tolerate.

My DD recently bought a "Wild" anti perspirant (or it might just be a deoderant ) as her current one was causing sensitivies . She very impressed and it;s refillable .

I like the Pitrok one in the black case the solid crystal .
I also bought the roll on but not so good so it's been designated to my work bag .
I am menopausal so needed something effective and non irritant

That's really interesting to be able to get that done, was this in the UK thorugh NHS?

I’ve got super sensitive, reactive skin and Dove unscented is pretty great if she can/wants an anti-perspirant. Deodorants all make my skin red, itchy, inflamed.

Sixpence39 · 13/01/2025 11:48

Another vote for Wild. They actually have a sensitive range. Bit expensive but so worth it. Smells so nice you don't need perfume.

CraftyNavySeal · 13/01/2025 11:58

Is she putting it on dry skin?

If the skin is not completely dry the moisture can cause irritation, same with not letting it completely dry before getting dressed.

The stick ones can be less irritating as well, roll ons tend to stay wet for too long.

I can recommend Ben & Anna range; they have a sensitive one too.

Water41 · 13/01/2025 12:20

I'd say all of those are quite strong. I've been using soft and gentle deo for years and never had any irritation.

Misfiteverywhere · 13/01/2025 12:34

I'm allergic to a lot of antiperspirant deodorants and the only one I can use is Dove original roll on. Tried lots in between to no avail.

Rainbow450 · 13/01/2025 22:03

I used to get a terrible itchy sore rash under my arm and I changed to the dove original cream stick and that's helped enormously.

Yes, same here, I can only use the Dove stick or the Sure sensitive stick. Sprays & roll ons bring out the most awful rashes.

DD uses Ku.tis which is a stick. She found lots of products burned and didn't really work but this one is nice.

sunshinyday80 · 14/01/2025 13:01

Thanks all, some good suggestions of different ones to try here. We're going to try the Sebamed to start with as it's much cheaper than some of the others (and therefore less costly to get wrong) and will move through the list until we find something that doesn't give her a rash!

Yes, it's called a patch test. It was all chemicals, no foods. And she was able to take in her own products like her hair products. The nurse put them on her back and then they come off two days later and then three days after that she went back to the hospital to see the doctor and find out what she was allergic to.

Wendolino · 14/01/2025 13:36

Pitrok is very good, it's gentle and it neutralises BO smell.
