NaughtyNigella · 04/05/2008 14:21

have been well and truly told off for wearing crocs to work. my own fault - was told not to last week and carried on wearing them then got spotted by big boss and flamed.

went in to clarks today - no shoes fit my feet.
what do i do now?
have to find black enclosed boring shoes before 7 am tomorrow.
what do i do?

Are your feet wide, narrow, long, high instep?
What sort of clothes do you wear to work = suits/smart casual/uniform?

NaughtyNigella · 04/05/2008 15:09

my feet are square - made worse by wearing crocs. have to be total foot coverage. (am a nurse)

boss man doesn't like me crocs.
the theory is that if i were to drop a used needle it may go through the hole into my foot.
load of cack in my opinion. i did argue and ask to see his gold standard randomised control trial evidence. but he just said no.
the uniform policy says shoes have to cover the foot, be non slip yadda yadda, yadda.
i think crocs cover more foot than a ballet pump style would.
although when wading through wee it does tend to seep in the holes.
do you think next would deliver before 7 tomorrow morning? i tried clarks ones - they aren't wide enough!

professional crocs

I'm a nurse and wear crocs to work.

NaughtyNigella · 04/05/2008 15:42

nope - i tried that - not allowed them as they've no back and holes in the edges. must go before shops close.

I have same wide problem feet, bought two pairs of shoes both were agony, relented to buying crocs and they are bliss.

Your boss is a bastard

flossish · 04/05/2008 15:47

I was a liiitttle bit naughty and brought some pretty black shoes from clarks. They probably don't come up high enough but they aren't all that strict where I am TBH. It has a pretty flower on it too! But they are clarks so not really any help to you. barratts aren't bad and are a little cheaper?

OH and dropping a needle from standing would probably go through a shoe anyhow... they're designed to be sharp. Do you think he realises that?
