My hair is curly, just below shoulder length. I'd like to fasten it up, messy bun style, but don't like it pulled back out of my face, so would like to have a fringe. I have a sort of cowlick, so would need to be rough and quite long. I wear a side parting. I've no idea how to get a fringe right with my hair! Any ideas? Or wouldn't it work?

I have curly hair with shorter curtain style sections graduating diagonally to blend in with the rest of my hair. It’s a little like the picture above with the bun but a chunkier section. It’s quite hard to find a hairdresser good enough to achieve this on curly hair without it going very wrong (I’ve been there!!). So I would recommend giggling “curly girl hairdressers” in your area. Be prepared to travel up to 50 miles to get one. It’s worth it.

@Bakedpotatoes beat me to it. I saw this on someone recently and she looked amazing.

Are you thinking like the fringe attached OP? MY friend has a similar style and she looks wonderful!

I have hair like the OP's and I went and asked for this very haircut - it did not go well.

The layers looked great pushed to the sides though - fringe was hideous! I also have a side parting and it just looked so much better falling to each side of my face naturally. It created gorgeous curls too!
