Anyone had tear trough filler?

Had mine done an hour ago, not very impressed with the result. Am I being too impatient?

I've had mine done - the area might still be a bit swollen but unfortunately no, nothing much will change from the result you have now

What are you not happy with?

I've had mine done, it's very subtle. I had half a ml each side and when I went back for the checkup I had another half ml. How much did you have? I have cheek bones now!!

No swelling for me. My friend sadly had a terrible black eye after hers.

I’ve had no swelling really. Just two red dots where the cannula went in. I have terrible dark circles and I’ve done polynucleotides which have helped - and I thought the filler would enhance my results but I’m really disappointed.

I also have dark circles and it didn't help as much as i'd hope - Tear trough filler (whilst helps slightly with brightening) does more for the hollowing around the eyes.

I have noticed however I don't need heavy concealer anymore, so it certainly has worked just not as well on a make up free face unfortunately :(

Thing is I’ve done so much research and understand where mine come from. And this specifically said for “thin skin” but I feel quite lied to and £400 poorer for it.

Total waste of money for me.

£400 is insane, although if London potentially not. I paid £205 for mine and had it injected over 2 sittings as per another poster - have you used this practitioner before?

sunshinechaser · 02/01/2025 16:29

I have but I do think the results are very subtle. Are you disappointed as you had hollowness before and you still have it after the fillers? If that's the case and your injector agrees I suppose you could have more filler injected to give a better result.

Is it? I’m based in Manchester. I looked at somewhere else that was charging £550.

Sorry for ignorance but I would have thought filler was to fill things - so would only help with hollowing rather than dark circles?

Depends what causes the dark circles

Mine was £300 as I said earlier half a mil each time over 2 sessions a month a part. I'm in Brighton and it was done by a plastic surgeon rather an an aesthetic nurse. For that price I also had cheeks filled and naso labial lines and jowls. I was prepared to pay three times the price still not convinced he charged me right.

Gwenhwyfar · 02/01/2025 21:40

I've had it twice. It helped a bit, but not totally, but I expected that.
I haven't been for the third time because I suspected it had caused lumps last time, but now I think I've probably just developed bags as well as shadows so might need a blepharoplasty in future.

I think 400 isn't an unfair price for what it is.

Tangelablue · 02/01/2025 21:50

I had it done just over 18 months ago and it's not worn off yet. I had under eye bags and it's worked miracles. You should have a follow up appointment after 6 weeks to have a top up if needed. £400 does seem expensive, I'm in liverpool and paid a lot less. Prices might have raised since I had it though.
