Jelly cubes for nails

For the past couple of months I’ve been eating a jelly cube a day, in the hope it will help my nails and hair shedding, just like I used to do when I was a teen, and my nails are noticeably stronger.
Is there anything you do that’s an old fashioned thing that you find works?
I’m wanting to look for beer shampoo now. DM used to buy it in a sachet from the chemist.

Adeline rubbed in your nails for a week will see them strong but supple. Gently file once you see some length.

What is that? I've just looked on Amazon and can't find it.

Horsey people like myself may have noticed that cornucresine which is a product applied to horses hooves to promote healthy growth also strengthens human nails.
You could try this.

well, only if you believe it works 😕

Does jelly still have gelatine in it? Or has it all gone vegan/vegetarian now?

Some jelly does some doesn't,
Some use animal geletine ( bones skin)
Some use seaweed I think

The jelly cubes is probably a similar idea to taking collagen. I think I'd prefer the jelly as when I took collagen (marine) thinking it would make my hair, nails and skin look beautiful I came out in hives! 😂 Maybe bovine collagen is better but it put me off a bit.

I forgot about that. When I was using that on my horse I'd massage some onto my own nails. I'm lucky enough to have good nails anyway but this stuff made them like mine but on steroids 😂

My nanna used to rub chalk on her palms and then shine up her nails on opposite hand. It makes them looks really shiny and glossy I still do it

She rinsed her lovely soft white hair in rainwater too. I haven't ever tried that.

I forgot about the beer shampoo and how I loved the barrel shaped bottle as a kid 😁

I’m a firm believer in the placebo effect because jelly can’t strengthen nails. It must be a coincidence rather than anything based on science.

Jelly contains gelatine but nails are made of keratin.
