Nice everyday brands for men (in their 30s/40s)

I know this is usually predominantly womens S&B but I thought it might be worth a try!

It is my DHs birthday in a few weeks. He will be 35 and he has asked for 'new clothes'. He is mostly a jeans and a tshirt kind of guy but I'm keen to go for some nice classic well made things that will last him, rather than cheap and 'trendy'. He used to love Burton.

So if you have moderately stylish but not trendy and expensive partners, where do they shop?!

My DB at this age liked Fat Face but also Gap and Massimo Dutti.

Cos had some nice men's stuff when I popped in recently. Reiss is another one. Charles Tyrwhitt is known for office wear, but has some nice knits and polos in lots of colours. Look at Community Clothing online as well.

DH is fussy and wardrobe a real mix - I'd recommend
Meyer trousers - come in a wide range of colours, fits, materials and wash and wear brilliantly!
Uniqlo - knits, t-shirts, heattech
Charles Tyrwhitt - although quality not as good as once it was
M&S - larger stores, as impossible to guage quality / fit online with M&S
Cordings

Not sure where you live, but a great menswear shop in Shaftesbury, old style decor but a huge range of stock and great service, called Squires. Not near to us, but we make the odd trip to the town and DH loves to spend time (and money) in the shop. Looks like an old fashioned outfitters, but has some very good items inside.

Gant
Reiss

Agreed Uniqlo is good. H&M has turned up the odd gem too.

Any ideas for trainers? I can't see him caring about 'trendy' current brands like NB but something trusty and comfy

Dh is nearly 40 and has started buying a lot from Carharrt, especially their really thick cotton work trousers. Nothing fancy buy very hard wearing.

Yes this is my dhs brand of choice at the moment too (he’s 37). A lot depends on what kind of style your dh has, mine really likes adidas for t shirts and joggers etc. He wouldn’t like anything from Fatface or next but I guess that just like us women they’re all so different!

Patagonia

They are an outdoor brand, but relatively fashionable and completely bombproof. They do decent T shirts, jeans, hoodies etc than are not technical outdoor gear.
