Hi

Looked at subscription Tret and all internet places such as Skin and Me are pretty much the same price and offer.

This one is much more expensive .

Yes me! I've used skin and me and dermatica before; both I rate. However with Klira I have to say they've really got the formula spot on. I noticed a difference again within about six weeks and also less redness around my nose and chin.
The base formula I think is slightly more rich and also they upped the azelaic acid dose beyond what I was getting on skin and me to 15%. I'm on 0.025 tret and 15% acid whereas skin and me it was 4 and 4 of niacimide and azelaic acid and I only ever got to 0.024 tret after at least two years because my skin couldn't handle the dose.

Thanks. Do you still use and what were the issues you used for ?

They seem much more expensive than the others though.

They are much more expensive yes. I did join on a bit of a whim and signed up for a year so it was £50 a month. I use them for all round anti ageing and to have good skin really that's all. My skin is reactive and ageing. Before I started using tret I had adult acne.

If it's the first time for you using a prescription skin care go for the cheaper ones as you'll still see the difference. I think Klira is better but not double the price better and I still saw massive improvements with dermatica and then skin and me, but with Klira I've been able to still continue the improvements without the redness I was getting from skin and me when I increased the dose.

Presumably it’s the same ingredients as the others ? But it sounds like it’s gentler ?

The formulas are more bespoke I believe than the others. There is a huge questionnaire to complete to get your "skin size" and I think that's the difference between them and others. The active ingredients in my cream are stronger than what I got from skin and me but I think it's the base that means my skin can cope with it better.

But again, if I was just starting out then skin and me is far cheaper AND if your skin reacts then you have the benefit of holding deliveries so that you don't use it every night. With Klira i can't pause for a month as I'm locked in for a year in order to get the cheapest price per month.

I'd still stick with Klira because it works better for me now, but if I was just starting out I'd go for one of the others.

I've been using Klira for 5 months, I've just gone up to .04% tret. My skin looks great .
I am really impressed

MoiraRoseForever · 26/12/2024 23:11

Thanks .

Sounds like they prescribe stronger but the formulation makes it gentler.

it’s a huge price difference though .

Thanks. Why do you think it’s worth the extra ? I’m curious as I’ll pay more if it’s better . Can’t really work out on the website what extra there is although it does say 1-2-1 support.
what is that in practice ?

thanks

I haven't tried any of the other prescription services. I met a friend one day and her skin looked amazing and she was using it so I signed up.
Klira have 12 different skin types and your formula is unique to you.
My analysis told me I had rosacea which I wasn't aware of so my treatment tackles that.
They also recommend cleansers / moisturiser and spf. None of which are expensive and no serums/ eye creams are needed so my overall skin routine is streamlined and I'm not forking out on expensive skin care.

ThePoshUns · 27/12/2024 08:25

In the morning I cleanse with Cerave face wash and use Cerave day cream with SPF50.
At night Cerave face wash , Klira treatment then Cerave moisturiser cream.

MoiraRoseForever · 27/12/2024 08:27

I am curious . Looking at posts on subscriptions it seems it’s pretty much the same people get in terms of ingredients and %. Some variation of course . So curious to see what I’d get with Klira .

Hi, do you get 1-2-1 support ? Do they offer different ingredients ?thanks

OP posts:
ThePoshUns · 27/12/2024 08:36

You get online chat, if you want to ask anything. A 1-2-1 consultation is extra I think? I'm not sure about different ingredients sorry.

Thanks. It says you get 1-2-1 support, so that’s online chat .

It says to let the, know what spf and moisturiser you use if not using their recommended ones . Presumes they sell that as extra ?

thanks

OP posts:
ThePoshUns · 27/12/2024 09:32

No not extra. They give you a number of recommendations with links to sites like French pharmacy and look fantastic so I assume they make money on the clicks?

ThePoshUns · 27/12/2024 09:33

I think if you buy the year subscription upfront you get one to one consultation?

SparrowFeet · 27/12/2024 10:30

Yes you do. Genuinely the active ingredients are no different than the cheaper ones. What you get from Klira is a more bespoke combination and also a different base which supports your skin to better adapt to the actives.
Signing up for a year gives you a 1:1 consultation which I had. They recommend other things you can do. Like laser therapy, but i didn't find it that useful because i can get all of that locally if i wanted.
