New make up at 60?

I've had a difficult few years, so I'm feeling and looking tired...and I'm thinking that I'd like to freshen my look just a little. I've not worn make-up for years, so I'm wondering about what small things to introduce that'll help me look and feel better about myself...but I have no idea what to use! I keep reading about eyeliner (VB's in particular) or the benefits of a good foundation; whatever it is, it'll need to be light and easy-to-use, as I have a very busy life and am not even slightly high maintenance. I don't mind spending a bit on one or two key items, but I'm not about to buy or wear a full-face of make-up as that's just not me. It might not even be about make-up, it might be skin care...as you can see, I just don't know where to start!

Any recommendations gratefully received, thank you.

I’ve been aiming for a minimalist approach to make up the last couple of years and most days after skin care I use normally just three products. First I apply Saie Glowy Super Gel which is amazing and gives you a lovely glowy look. I then apply Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint which is a beautiful product and gives me a really even look. Finally I apply some Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm for a nice hint of colour on cheeks and lip.

Lisa Eldridge

Chanel

This sounds like a gorgeous routine.

I’m 52 and finding less is more for sure.
A light tinted cc cream - no powder/concealer.
A cream blush/lip product - somehow using the same colour on lips and cheeks is very flattering.
A glowy highlighter on top of cheek.

I also need mascara and brow gel for definition. But that would be it for day to day.
For going out, I just add a rose coloured bronzer to warm me up a little more.

@JMAngel1 We have almost identical routines! I use a brow gel sometimes as well. When I’m feeling a bit giddy I might use a powder on cheeks using a feather brush. I really like the Hourglass one.

Jones Road (Bobbi Brown) tinted balm is supposed to be good for mature skin. I've not tried it but a lot of people seem to like it.

I'm 65 and bought Jones Road What The Foundation in the shade they recommended for my skin . It is AMAZING and by far the best I've ever bought. Which us just as well because it's very pricey for a smallish pot! It gives even light coverage and make my skin luminous. I'd recommend it.
