Uniqlo - never again.

Irredeemably shit experience.
Hate the heat tech. Synthetic sausage skin look. Waiting 10 days for jeans to be sent out from an online order & they're now totally out of stock online. No way of cancelling the order or getting my money back. There's no way of finding out how to speak to customer services on the website. Upon googling there is an message leaving facility.
There's no proper UK presence on Instagram/Facebook. Hence no way of complaining.

Why are they paying Instagrammers to promote their clothing & appointing a new style director when they can't get their act together with running a modern efficient company?

I usually buy what I try on in store then order online if I want more of the same so can trust the sizing.

This is what DD and I did recently. It's a shame that most of the stores are in London ans its environs. We could do with one in Leeds.

That will be a great day if it ever happens.
I love Uniqlo but I never send things back, its the one shop that myself (chubby in my 50's) DH (hates clothes), DS (large 16 year old) and DD (tiny and 19) can all shop in
The new website is awful though but you CAN get around it if you use the search function

@Hoppinggreen do you never send back because you never need to or because they make it too difficult? Or is it some other reason?

TheYearOfSmallThings · 18/12/2024 10:20

Their online service is unacceptably poor. I still buy in the shops though - their stuff is useful and well priced for adults. Not such good value for the children's stuff, but my son likes it.

Well my jeans have arrived quickly & I must have a very short memory. Because I've just put in two further orders. In a quest to find heat tech I can actually wear without feeling itchy & restricted. The fleece tops look hopeful.
Let's hope I don't have to return everything.

I do think the company infrastructure should be modernised in line with the intense promotion currently being rolled out.

To be honest, it is best to buy clothes in physical stores, otherwise it is easy to choose the wrong size

Exactly and for things like how thin the fabric is, you need to touch it.

Never needed to really, it all seesm to fit well and to be honest the odd time I thought I should I just haven't bothered because its so cheap.
I think I sent a pair of trousers (BNWT) to a charity shop once but thats it and they were around £20

EdithStourton · 18/12/2024 10:43

I have one of their tops which looks great so far.
I just hope it wears better than their knickers which look nice and v comfy but the elastic is done for and they are going into holes - while my M&S knickers soldier on, having already done me decent service before the Uniqlo ones ever arrived.

Yes - I'd love to try stuff from there when I see it recommended, but there isn't one in or near Wales at all - think the nearest is Oxford? - and I'm not prepared to go through ordering online based on these stories... ☹️
